Fans of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City were shocked recently when it was revealed that Angie Katsenavas was divorcing her husband, Shawn Trujillo.
Monica Garcia, the infamous one-season star of RHOSLC, recently spoke out about a rumor regarding Angie’s divorce.
While appearing on Carlos King’s Reality with The King podcast, the topic of Angie’s news came up.
“I didn’t hear about infidelity,” Carlos said, addressing a rumor that Angie, 51, had left Shawn, 52, due to him cheating. “I mean, I didn’t hear it. I’m not saying it’s true or it’s not true; I didn’t hear that. I did hear that Shawn may allegedly feel that Angie K. has changed once she became a Housewife.”
“That’s exactly what I heard, too,” Monica, 43, shared. “That she has become…”
“Unrecognizable?” Carlos asked.
“Intolerable? Insufferable? Difficult?… out of touch with reality?” Monica retorted. “All consumed by the show, maybe? Look, Mother Mary said it best, baby girl. She said, ‘You’re letting this s*it get to your head.’ Mary said it. Mary has been telling her season after season, ‘You’re changing, you’re changing, you’re changing, you’re changing. I don’t recognize you. I don’t know this one. Where’s my old Angie friend?’ Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Yeah.”
As previously reported, Angie and Shawn allegedly split after 27 years together.
“This is all alleged as they have not made a statement but apparently Shawn was hooking up with a stylist from the Salon!” Bravo by Gays shared via Instagram on July 19. “Someone has been spilling the tea this weekend to people they thought wouldn’t tell anyone!”
“GIVE ME RHOSLC NOW!” they added.
Bravo and Cocktails confirmed the news Bravo by Gays had shared hours later, claiming, “Unfortunately I can confirm the RHOSLC split.”
They also insisted their confirmation had come from a “trusted” source.
A report from Page Six also confirmed the news, noting that multiple sources had told them the pair were no longer together.
RHOSLC season seven is set to premiere later this year.
