While Scheana Shay was a staple on Vanderpump Rules, she hasn’t been on television since she made some guest appearances on the second season of The Valley.
Recently, during the premiere of Stassi Schroeder‘s House of Stassi, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jessi Draper claimed Scheana tried to make a play to get on her show.
“I have tea for you about Scheana,” Jessi told Stassi. “She told me she is walking away from Bravo completely. And then [Scheana] goes, ‘So do you have any events coming up? [My husband] Brock [Davies] was Mormon so maybe I can come be on your show.'”
“Scheana loves the spotlight,” Stassi dished in a confessional. “I would be more surprised if she didn’t try to get on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.”
“I can’t get away from this woman,” she added. “Scheana will 100 percent show up at my funeral and make it about her.”
In the wake of that reveal, an insider denied the allegation to TMZ and insisted the context of the story isn’t being shared.
According to a person who attended the Salt Lake City stop of Scheana’s book tour, where a live Q&A was moderated by Jessi, Scheana wanting to go on SLOMW was a joke.
One of the questions Jessi read aloud to her was from an audience member asking if she’d rather join SLOMW or The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
“Well, Brock was raised Mormon,” Scheana responded, which supposedly garnered laughs from Jessi and the audience.
The insider alleged that Jessi was manipulating the tone of what happened and made it sound like Scheana was seriously considering joining SLOMW.
“I’d have thought Stassi learned her lesson after getting fired from her last network for perpetuating lies about a former coworker,” another source added, taking a dig at Stassi.
In an interview on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea, Stassi admitted to feeling “really bad” about having Jessi’s comment about Scheana on her show, and she even went as far as to ask if they should “edit out” the part about Scheana on House of Stassi to “give her a break.”
She also was asked if she would ever want Scheana on her new show, to which she boldly declared, “No.”
Stassi also spoke to her issues with Scheana back when they were on Vanderpump Rules together.
“Our issue with Scheana on Vanderpump Rules was always that she would meddle off-camera,” she stated. “And so we always felt like you’re not – like while you are giving so much of yourself, you’re kind of f*cking sh*t up by doing things off-camera or texting somebody something instead of actually like having that conversation.”
Scheana has yet to respond to Stassi’s interview.
