Attorney Ronald Richards shared an update in Dorit Kemsley and PK Kemsley’s family law case, as he claimed that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star allegedly spent $250,000 during her recent trip to Paris.
Amid their contentious divorce, Dorit and PK have disputed their financial issues. Dorit alleged that he stopped paying their mortgage, and PK claimed she’s overspending despite their money problems. Earlier this month, TMZ reported that Dorit asked the court to deny PK’s request to sell their house, where she lives with their two kids. She alleged that he has plenty of money to catch up on the missed payments, and that his claim that the house is in danger of foreclosure is ridiculous.
In an August 6 post on X, Ronald shared that Dorit and PK met in court yesterday amid their family law case. Dorit allegedly “kept the lawyers there all day long,” and the “case took all day,” as there was a certain “stipulation” that Dorit didn’t want to sign.
“This has been going on since 8:30 a.m. Paul is there in person. Dorit appeared [remotely, but] without any video. Paul’s attorneys have been trying all day to settle,” said the attorney. “Dorit spent $250,000 while in Paris. They are close to a deal. Dorit has been very difficult and unreasonable. Paul has offered to bring things current if she moves out.”
By “bring things current,” the attorney was perhaps referring to their mortgage payments.
“Dorit is used to getting what she wants but not today. She has no choice but to settle,” the attorney went on. “Dorit can’t litigate a case while having croissants in France. The electricity bill is holding up the settlement. Dorit wants it paid today. PK said … [in] 30 days. Dorit is stuck in France. The attorneys are in shock that the deal can unravel over a utility bill. Stay tuned!”
Ronald gave an update later that day on Instagram.
“At 4:30pm the court continued the matter … with the understanding by Paul’s attorneys that Dorit would sign the stipulation tonight. Paul is going to have to hope she actually does it. Otherwise she just bought herself a three week delay,” wrote Ronald. “What is worse [is] there [was] some confusion by the lawyers in the family law case. They were unaware that a notice of sale has been issued and there’s a foreclosure date of August 11.”
“If Dorit doesn’t sign the stipulation, Paul will not fund any reinstatement [and] the property will go to auction on the 11th,” Ronald explained. “Each week the auctioneer is crying out a new date. Fortunately, Paul has been notified of the issue. He is on top of it, but they’re not gonna leave the courthouse tonight until Dorit signs it if she actually signs it.”
The attorney called it “disrespectful” that Dorit “didn’t even show up” in person.
“They’re going to keep the settlement between the lawyers [concerning] Dorit[’s] move out,” said Ronald, “unless she defaults … [which would] add an extra layer for Paul to get enforcement but [it would] save Dorit from a publicly embarrassing loss.”
