While the third season of The McBee Dynasty is currently airing on Bravo, matriarch Kristi McBee recently posted a social media statement that indicated her family was stepping away from the spotlight.
In it, she insisted it was time for her family to enjoy their lives privately while venting her frustration regarding her son Steven McBee Jr.‘s exes criticizing him.
Galyna Saltkovska, who stars on the show, recently sat down for an interview with Page Six‘s Virtual Reali-Tea and addressed whether the show was actually ending.
“I enjoy being on the show and telling our story,” Galyna shared. “It can be difficult at times, uh, and I see Kristy’s side because she has four boys on the show and there are times when fans can be very hard on you. It was difficult for me to, um, to accept a lot of criticism because you don’t always look your best, and people can be very cruel.”
While Galyna noted it was okay for her to “accept” people being negative toward her, once it came to her daughter, it was a “whole different situation.”
“So, can you imagine Kristi’s side when she has four boys and, you know, recent events with Steven? So, I completely understand her comments.”
For her part, Galyna said she wants to continue on the series.
“I enjoy being on the show, and I love our show, and I love everything that we are showing to the world,” she said. “So, I hope we’ll continue.”
During the conversation, Galyna also talked about her ex, Steven McBee Sr., who is currently incarcerated after being sentenced to 24 months behind bars for a federal crop insurance fraud scheme.
“I went [to the prison] only two times,” she noted. “I do email him probably weekly, updating [him] on the businesses and just saying hi, because I’m a human and I understand that he is in a tough position that he shouldn’t have been [in].”
As fans of the show know, their relationship ended when he began an affair with her former best friend, Masha Petrova.
“I don’t see her, nor do I want to have any contact with her,” Galyna explained. “I do not call her by that name. I’m calling her ‘Mashed Potato’ at this point, because one of the fans suggested that, and it just stuck with me.”
“I don’t do things like that to my friends,” she added, insisting she doesn’t “want to be around her.”
Galyna also revealed that she doesn’t want her romantic drama to get in the way of her business relationships.
“Yes, we had a personal relationship. And yes, they betrayed me,” she stated. “But at the same time, we were building businesses; I built relationships with the boys and their families and so much more. So, I am trying to put that behind me and look [at] the future.”
New episodes of The McBee Dynasty air Mondays on Bravo at 9 p.m. ET.
