Allie Eklund explained why she was recently spotted with Southern Charm cast member Austen Kroll during an interview on Monday.

While also revealing what The McBee Dynasty‘s Steven McBee Jr., 33, did to try to win her back, confirming she blocked him, and sharing what possessions of hers he’s retained post-split, Allie, 29, spoke of her lunch date with Austen, 39, and explained her status with her fellow Bravolebrity.

“Austen actually spends time in [Austin, Texas], part-time, is looking to move there too, and we actually met at BravoCon in the mix with everybody, and so he was in town, reached out. He actually had a business venture he wanted to run by me, so we got lunch and discussed that,” Allie told Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea on August 4. “So just friends. I realize that I typically start, I guess, friendships, or whatever you want to call them, with business. So maybe as I’m saying this out loud, this is a little bit of a learning lesson for me, but no, we’re just friends, and we were talking business about a fun opportunity coming up.”

After acknowledging that their crossover gained attention, Allie gushed over Austen, saying he was “great to talk to” and “amazing,” as she confirmed a friendship with his ex-girlfriendMadison LeCroy, 35.

“[She] is a friend of mine. She’s great. So yeah, just all friends,” she clarified.

Also speaking to Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea, Allie shared how Steven tried to reconcile.

“He actually wrote each family member of mine a two-page handwritten letter apologizing and sent each of the girls in my family flowers,” Allie revealed. “[But my family] made it clear [that he] would never be allowed in [their] house again.”

As fans will recall, Allie and Steven confirmed their romance in November 2025 and split in April of this year, as he accused her of cheating on him at Stagecoach and berated her in a series of leaked text messages, slamming her as a “f*cking sl*t,” a “hooker,” and a “b*tch.”

After Allie denied Steven’s allegations, he offered an apology and took part in a trauma retreat to address his anger issues. Still, Allie was unwilling to offer him another chance.

“[He] was texting me a lot of messages [after the breakup],” she said. “To me, nothing felt like an apology or accountability. To me, it was more so, ‘I did this because…’”

As their breakup played out in the public eye, Allie “[blocked]” Steven and has no plans to speak with him again.

Unfortunately, he still has some of her things, including a “vintage saddle,” which she said was a family heirloom, and a “dream horse,” which he gave her for her birthday in March.

“Unfortunately, he does have both of those things,” Allie stated. “Definitely the saddle — if he could send that in a box, that would be amazing.”

The McBee Dynasty season three airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo.
