Salley Carson opened up about her dating life, mentioning Kyle Cooke, Austen Kroll, and a mystery tattooed man she was recently spotted with, during a radio appearance earlier this week.
Weeks after the 31-year-old Southern Charm star hinted that she may be in love with Kyle, 43, the Summer House cast member who has also been linked to Next Gen NYC cast member Ava Dash, 26, Salley confirmed their status, admitted there may be potential for a future with Austen, 39, and shared why she recently pumped the brakes on her romance with her mystery man.
“We see each other a lot,” Salley told SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio about herself and Kyle. “[But] we’re just friends. I mean, sometimes flirty. It depends on the vibe.”
According to Salley, neither she nor Kyle is exclusively interested in the other.
“If he wants to call me out for guys, I’ll look at him like he’s crazy ‘cause I’m like, ‘I was with you the weekend of Fourth of July, and you left with a girl the day after?’ And I’m not mad about it, you know? He’s doing his thing,” she noted.
Salley also noted that there was still potential for her and Austen to strike up a romance, but she added that she wasn’t sure he was ready to settle down.
“I feel like he doesn’t see it, but I see it for him. I just think, you know, I look at him, and I’ve said it before. I said it on the reunion. I think he’s going to make an incredible dad, and I think he’s going to be a really fun dad, and he’s going to be a great husband. He just has to get there. He’s not there yet,” she explained.
Although Salley doesn’t see that for Austen yet, she was clear in her desire to have a family.
“I was born to be a mother. I’m very excited for when that day comes,” she revealed.
In fact, she and Austen made AI kids together.
“They’re so cute,” she admitted. “Austen was looking, and he was like, ‘Wait, this kind of makes me want kids.’”
Moving on to her supposed soft launch with her mystery man, Salley shared that a recent development between them led her to slow things down.
“[I] got a DM today that was like, ‘This sounds like love bombing. Be cautious,’ so I am being cautious,” she reasoned. “I’m going to slow down.”
“He’ll call me and be like, ‘We’re dating. You’re mine.’ And I’m like, ‘Um, first of all, you haven’t asked me to date you, and I’m not dating you until you ask me,’” she shared.
Salley then said that she didn’t want to date someone she can’t be public with, although she didn’t confirm why he wasn’t open to the idea.
