Bronwyn Newport opened up about flirty DMs she’s received from Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast member Chase McWhorter on a podcast on Thursday.
While also clarifying the implication that she had flirted with Summer House alum West Wilson, 31, on the heels of her split from former boyfriend Brandon Good, 33, the 40-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, who is in the midst of a separation from Todd Bradley, 67, admitted that Chase, 31, is “hot” as she hinted at an upcoming meeting between them.
“He’s hot. He’s cute. Yeah. He has his own whole thing … [He’s] very tatted, cool nail polish. [He] wears nail polish, wears cool clothes. Chase has an allure, yeah,” Bronwyn gushed to Amanda Hirsch, 38, on the August 27 episode of Hulu’s Get Real podcast.
Although Bronwyn is attracted to Chase’s looks, she admitted to being a bit put off by his history with the SLOMW cast, including his past marriage to Miranda Hope, 28, and swinging scandal.
“I didn’t say I didn’t [like him]. He just, he is like the Utah bicycle, though. He’s the whole state’s bicycle. [He’s] dated everybody,” she explained.
Regarding the messages Chase sent her, Bronwyn said he was “pretty outspoken” and “wanted to go out.” That said, Bronwyn admitted to telling him he was “a little bit young for [me],” which didn’t scare him off.
“[He’s] continues to try. Actually, he’s coming to New York in a couple of weeks. I think he has work or something,” she revealed. “[So] we will see if I’m here. I think he’s a lot of fun. [But] I have enough drama on one show in Utah. I don’t need to be on another show in Utah’s drama. But I think he’s so funny, and I do think he’s really cute. And also I think he just wants what he can’t have, always, so the longer I tell him, ‘no,’ maybe the more he’ll like me. We’ll see. And I like to be liked.”
After joking that despite Chase not having money, he’s her “type,” Bronwyn described rumors of a flirtation between her and West as “grossly overblown.”
“I think I’m just in a place where I’m open and interested and flirty with everybody. And I think it’s really cute everybody wants to use my name to prove their sexual prowess. He spoke about it … I think he was very flattered that maybe I might have been hitting on him and I didn’t see it that way,” she clarified.
She then said that West, who has since gone public with Amanda Batula, 35, the estranged wife of his former friend and Summer House co-star, Kyle Cooke, 43, “also may be a village bicycle of sorts.”
As Bravo fans may recall, West insinuated that Bronwyn had flirted with him during a March episode of Watch What Happens Live, saying, “She called me … We just talked on the phone for a little bit … [And] it felt a little flirty.”
