There has been no shortage of drama between The Valley exes Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor over the last week.
After an email Jax, 47, sent to Brittany, 37, was shared by him, a DM Brittany allegedly sent to an event organizer of an autism event for fathers was outed. Jax claimed Brittany was trying to “sabotage” his life in a rant he attached to the DM.
Then, it was reported that Brittany was granted a restraining order against Jax after she alleged he physically attacked her and threatened to “gut” her. Photos of her alleged injuries and transcripts of videos she allegedly took of Jax were also released.
Jax ended up issuing a response to the ordeal.
“I made a lot of mistakes and behaved in ways during that period of my life that I’m truly ashamed of and regret and take full responsibility for,” he wrote. “The person I was in 2024, during the darkest time of my life and at the height of my addiction, is not the person I am today. I got help, went to treatment, and today I’m 1 year and 9 months sober. I’ve remained committed to treatment and therapy, working on myself and changing my life.”
“I was shocked to see claims about alleged incidents from over two years ago being brought up now, especially when there have never been any police reports filed or criminal charges brought against me related to them,” he continued. “There are allegations being made that I strongly dispute. The full story, context and evidence will be addressed where it belongs – in court.”
“I will respect the court’s orders and the legal process,” Jax concluded. “My focus continues to be my sobriety, working on my mental health, being the best father I can be to Cruz and moving forward in a healthy and responsible way. All I can do is own my mistakes, stay committed to the changes I’ve made, and make sure the choices I make today reflect the man and father I want to be.”
When Instagram account @vanderpumprulesparty shared Jax’s statement, The Valley star Jasmine Goode took to the comments to respond.
“As someone who has personally witnessed what has been happening behind the scenes, I think it’s crazy he put out a statement claiming this is all from the past,” Jasmine, 39, claimed. “NOPE! This behavior was still happening as recently as two days ago. I’m proud of my girl for standing up for yourself and protecting her and her on.”

Zack Wickham, who is also on The Valley, also shared his thoughts on social media and defended Brittany.
“I am proud of Brittany taking a stand in her life against the person who makes her life hell daily,” Zack, 39, said in a post on Threads. “For all of the people who want to say why now, including Jax and Lori in their statement, it’s because she did give him a chance to change after rehab and was hoping for his son’s sake that he would. If he has stayed sober as he has said, good for him on that part. But I guess that wasn’t the issue then. Because his behavior is still harassing and unstable as ever. Yes, there is documentation of past behavior from years ago, but there are also examples in the documents from two days ago CUZ HE HASNT CHANGED. She moved forward with this to protect herself and her son because she saw no other way. Everyone saying otherwise can kick rocks.”
