Fans of Below Deck: Mediterranean were flabbergasted when it was revealed that bosun Nathan Gallagher was arrested for domestic violence.
They were even more stunned when it was came out that his ex and mother of his son, Gael Cameron, filed an apprehended violence application, which is similar to a temporary restraining order, against Nathan, 28.
While Gael, 30, has remained silent amid the ordeal – which has taken wild turns, with police asking for help to locate Nathan and Bravo cutting ties with him – today she finally broke her silence via Instagram Story.
“Hey guys, I just want to say thank you so much for the support you’ve shown for Kayden and I,” Gael wrote. “It’s been a tough season but I have been using the past few months to quietly heal and rebuild for little man and myself.”
“I really appreciate the love you have sent our way, especially with everything that’s come to light, and I’m really working on finding myself again and moving forward ♥️,” she added.
Nathan, who has remained MIA after skipping a court hearing he was due to appear at on Tuesday, spoke to Rolling Stone to talk about the information that had been reported.
“I don’t believe the public has heard the full story surrounding what happened,” he shared. “I understand [New South Wales] Police have confirmed my arrest in December 2025. What has been publicly reported, however, represents only one side of what was an extremely complicated situation.”
“I have contemporaneous video footage from the night in question, as well as messages and other records, which I believe provide important context and show events that have not been publicly reported,” he added. “I am willing to provide the relevant footage so that you can make your own assessment of what it shows.”
Rolling Stone stated they asked to review the footage but did not get a response.
“There are also other matters surrounding the relationship that I have never discussed publicly, including circumstances surrounding the breakdown of our relationship, previous allegations she made about a former partner, and financial matters relating to the purchase of an apartment in Sydney,” Nathan elaborated. “I have retained documentation and communications relating to those matters as well. I am not going to make accusations or release private documents on Instagram.”
He continued, “I have kept the evidence and will deal with it through the appropriate channels. But I also don’t believe it is fair for one version of events to be presented publicly as though it is the complete story when there is evidence that may materially contradict or provide significant context to that account. I’m not claiming I was perfect. I wasn’t. I made mistakes and I will take responsibility for my own actions. But I will not accept being portrayed solely through one person’s account of a relationship when there is another side and evidence relating to it.”
Nathan also noted his biggest concern is his son as he will be “old enough” one day to see “everything that has been said about his parents.”
“I don’t want his childhood turned into a public battle,” he said. “My priority is being recognized as his father, establishing a relationship with him and ultimately finding a way for both of us to move forward and co-parent peacefully. I’m not looking for revenge, and not asking anyone to take my side. I simply want the opportunity for the other side to be heard and for the evidence to be considered.”
