Steven McBee Jr. offered an update on his family’s businesses during a podcast appearance last month.
Ahead of dad Steven McBee Sr.‘s return home from prison, the 33-year-old McBee Dynasty star admitted that McBee Farm & Cattle Co. in Gallatin, Missouri, was facing financial challenges while also confirming the status of their McBee Coffee N’ Carwash chain after discussing its potential sale amid season three.
“I mean, financially, it’s no secret, and it has been no secret, that we are in a tough spot,” Steven Jr. shared on the August 24 episode of the Roxanne and Shantel podcast, via Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “It feels like we’ve been doing this for three seasons in a row, but the truth is, we’ve been in a tough spot the last few years, and there is light on the other side of it. We are wrapping up some of the last few really tough conversations and tough problems that we needed to solve.”
According to Steven Jr., things are expected to take a positive turn once his father is released.
“The next six months to eight months, it feels like we’re finally getting everything like wrapped up, buttoned up, and we can start moving forward with our life and looking to the future, not solving problems from the past,” he explained.
As for the family’s car washes, McBee Coffee N’ Carwash, Steven Jr. confirmed they had “not” been sold and that his youngest brother, Brayden McBee, who is known to be one of the hardest-working family members, was working at the business.
“I’ll give this to Brayden; he works more hours than any of us four boys,” Steven Jr. admitted. “That kid is working his butt off day in and day out. And so he likes working at the car washes. He’s learned a lot, but I think that he would work anywhere just as hard. In fact, he’s even talked about, you know, what if we did end up selling the car washes, what would be his plan? And it would actually be him working on our McBee Custom Home side or actually coming up here to the farm.”
As for when Steven Sr. would be released from prison, Steven Jr. confirmed on Instagram on September 9 that his dad would be getting out at the end of this week.
“Dad gets home Friday so we’ve been busting it every evening and the last few weekends renovating and updating his lodge,” he wrote in the caption of a photo of Steven Sr.’s “new home office.”
As McBee Dynasty fans will recall, Steven Sr. received a two-year prison sentence in November 2024 after being convicted of federal crop insurance fraud, and he began serving his term in late 2025.
Following his release, Steven Sr. will be placed on supervised release for an additional two years and will be forced to pay over $4 million in restitution for his crimes.
No word yet on a fourth season of The McBee Dynasty.
