On The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th, Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson‘s behavior came under scrutiny during their stop in Atlanta.
Specifically, at the party that was predominantly focused on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and The Real Housewives of Potomac, Vicki, 64, claimed she was uncomfortable and wanted to leave.
RHOP stars Robyn Dixon and Gizelle Bryant recently addressed their thoughts on Vicki’s behavior on their Reasonably Shady podcast.
“I personally… noticed that Vicki was uncomfortable,” Robyn, 47, shared.
“I saw her, and she was extremely standoffish, to the point like I’ve never met her before, and her behavior or the way she was moving about or acting there, I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m not even going to introduce myself to her,'” Robyn continued. “Like, I’m not even going to say hi, because you clearly are uncomfortable, you aren’t excited to be here, you’re not open to – it was just a very weird vibe…. So, I was like, ‘Okay, is she…’ These were my thoughts: Was she feeling like, ‘Okay, I’m not important here, because the focus was on the Atlanta women?’ Or has she not been around that many Black people in her life?”
While Gizelle, 56, said she wasn’t going to “go there” because she likes Vicki, she did provide more insight about the situation.
“I think she’s comfortable in spaces in which she knows people, knows, quote, ‘housewives,'” Gizelle shared. “So, she’s going there, and she’s not knowing any of the housewives. And I think in her mind, she was just like, ‘Why don’t I know these people? Nobody’s talking to me. Nobody cares about me.”‘ And… when you go to any party, you… introduce yourself.”
Robyn doubled down on her opinion on Vicki, claiming it “felt like she has not” been around Black people “and did not want to be around Black people.”
When Gizelle mentioned Vicki has wanted to be around her and RHOA star Porsha Williams, Robyn countered that “maybe it was just too many.”
On Vicki’s My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast, she talked about her behavior on the show.
“I just want to be me, I just want to be kind to people. I never was intending to look like a Debbie Downer, or I wasn’t involved, but there are times in life where you just can’t be on all the time, and we worked our flipping tails off,” Vicki stated.
She later noted, “You can’t be on all the time.”
“I just maybe wasn’t prepared of the energy that I needed, you know,” Vicki added. “And, um… it was a lot, but I’m so thankful. I think it was so cool to go to the different cities and see the girls show up from those cities, and it was very creative. I mean, it was very interesting, very creative.”
Vicki also shared that her son, Michael Wolfsmith, called her and asked her what was going on after some reports on blogs.
“I’m like, ‘I don’t know.’ You know. Now what did I say wrong?'” she said. “And he’s like, ‘Well, I know you. You didn’t say that. Why, why are the bloggers saying this?’ I’m like, ‘They just make sh*t up and hope that they get clickbaits.’ That’s all they do.”
As for her uncomfortable comment, Vicki justified it, stating, “How can somebody relate something different than ‘I’m uncomfortable, my leg hurts, I don’t know anybody, I want out?'”
