Teddi Mellencamp opened up about the reaction certain Real Housewives have had to her and Tamra Judge‘s shared podcast, Two Ts in a Pod, during a Q&A on her Instagram Story on Tuesday.
While also explaining why her shared podcast with former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Erika Jayne, 55, came to an end, teasing a new co-host, and reflecting on the one argument she’d had with Tamra, 59, Teddi spoke of the issues Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson, 64, and Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member Heather Gay, 52, have had with her and Tamra’s show.
“This one’s tricky because there’s two different kinds of pissed: There’s like, Vicki, who’s like, ‘Why would you say that on the podcast?!’ But then she gets over it. Um, love her. It’s just, she knows I’m recapping what I’m actually watching. And then there’s the housewives that hold a grudge, and they’ll be mad at me forever,” Teddi, 45, explained on September 22.
According to Teddi, Heather has gotten most upset about the podcast.
“I think she’s been the only one that I haven’t been able to, like, smooth over when we’ve met in person,” Teddi shared.
As for the franchise that is the most difficult to recap, Teddi said she judged them on an episode-by-episode basis.
“I wouldn’t say that there’s like a franchise per se that is the hardest to recap. I would say it goes by episode,” she said. “So, sometimes some franchises, they’re just jam-packed, and it’s just every time they get you, and they give you something to talk about, and sometimes there’s a lull, and when there’s a lull it’s like everybody’s separated and having these dinners one-on-one and they’re passing around gossip, but nothing really gets done, and there’s no conflict and no resolution, and so yeah, those are the hardest.”
Regarding Diamonds in the Rough, which was launched as an offshoot of Two Ts in a Pod, Teddi said that while she “[missed]” her and Erika’s podcast, they were only contracted for one year.
“Our year was up, and Erika is like, one of the busiest people I know. I am so proud of her. She is absolutely crushing it,” Teddi gushed.
She then said that “another pod” would be dropping soon.
“I’ll tell who it’s with in the next coming weeks. You’re gonna laugh. You’re gonna love it,” she teased.
Also on her Instagram Story, Teddi explained her only dispute with Tamra.
“I think we’ve had one argument in like six years. Is that how long we’ve been doing the pod? I think we’ve had one argument, but it wasn’t even a talking argument,” she clarified. “We were on text with a group, and then she didn’t like something that I did, and so she removed herself from the text group — not like she didn’t have to put herself right back on there in the morning when we started work.”
