Jessel Taank revealed why she showed up “two hours” late to Daisy Toye‘s Passover Seder in a post shared on Threads earlier this week.
As she also reacted to viewer backlash on Watch What Happens Live, shaded Erin Lichy, 39, and teased the Real Housewives of New York City cast’s upcoming trip to Erika Hammond‘s island, Jessel, 46, explained how an injury led to her late arrival.
“Ok so why was I 2 hours late (although it wasn’t 2 hours!!!) to Passover dinner?! I was grabbing something from the top shelf of my closet and fell off the ladder … I was so drugged up on pain killers … and could barely walk!!” Jessel explained in a since-deleted Threads post captured via screenshot by Queens of Bravo on Instagram.
Still, Jessel faced criticism from fans, one of whom suggested that she should’ve given her castmates a heads-up.
“Was your phone broken? Did you let anyone know you’d be late?” they asked.
“Yes Becca- hence why [Sai de Silva] said ‘she’s on the way,'” Jessel replied.
Meanwhile, on the September 24 episode of WWHL, Jessel was asked about the backlash she’s faced from fans in recent weeks due to her behavior on RHONY.
“I cannot win. Did everyone lose their funny bone overnight? I’m so not for real. I’m so unserious. I don’t get it,” Jessel admitted.
On Thursday night’s WWHL, Emily Simpson, 50, and Chanel Ayan, 48, were featured guests, as Jessel and Sai, 45, sat in the audience, and during the show, Chanel was questioned about the warning she issued to Jessel in regard to Erin’s trash-talking.
Although Chanel acknowledged that Erin had taken accountability and agreed with her that she was talking poorly about Jessel, Jessel denied that she had truly owned up to her comments.
“[Erin] was more interested in who told me than really taking accountability,” Jessel alleged.
Also on the episode, after host Andy Cohen, 58, mentioned that the cast would be heading to Erika’s private island on an upcoming episode of RHONY, Erika hinted at the drama that was to come.
“There’s a lot of queefing [of people’s business] going on. It is honestly a crazy trip. And when you step on an island, there’s no escaping,” she stated.
