Alexis Bellino opened up about her beef with Heather Dubrow on Carlos King‘s podcast on Friday after the two of them were seen butting heads on the October 1 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
After Alexis, 49, and her husband, John Janssen, 63, who is the ex-boyfriend of cast member Shannon Beador, 62, attended Tamra Judge‘s launch party for her new Vena CBD/THC seltzers, where Heather, 57, spoke of skipping Alexis and John’s wedding and accused Alexis of going on a press tour against her, Alexis suggested that Heather had turned on her in an effort to remain in good standing with viewers.
“She only started not liking me when the audience started not liking me. We were very close even during filming. She was trying to be there. We were on the phone non-stop,” Alexis revealed on the October 2 episode of Reality With the King.
Alexis went on to say that Heather had leaked information that she never should have, since the details were shared amid a private conversation between the two of them and John, and reflected on the comments Heather made on Watch What Happens Live about her decision to skip her and John’s wedding.
“All of it’s kind of just really f-ed up because of the fact that she’s inside and she says those things on [WWHL], and then she goes, ‘So Alexis decides to go on a press tour and call me factless,’” Alexis continued, denying she went on a press tour against her.
“I’m not looking for fame — maybe that’s projection — but I went on Tamra’s podcast,” she explained. “I simply went on one podcast who’s my good friend and had a podcast, and her name got brought up, and that’s a world tour, a press tour? No, sweetheart … I went on one podcast, said something that’s somewhat true about you, you didn’t like it, so now you’re really gonna hate me even more and go after me because you have the platform.”
After Alexis suggested that Heather wasn’t a real friend, but a TV friend, on Tamra’s podcast, she showed up to Tamra’s event, where Heather accused her of giving her “a look,” which she denied.
According to Alexis, she feels Heather is “completely senile at this point.’”
“I simply called her factless on one thing, meaning she lacks character, like a little bit of character, because of the fact that she couldn’t just say, ‘Why can’t you be friends and go to a wedding even though you’re friends with Shannon?’ We are over 50-year-old women. Why the hell are we still worried about whose wedding we go to and if it’s okay if another friend [approves]? If any friend tells me who I can and cannot be friends with, there’s the door,” she stated.
Reflecting on their spat, Alexis said she was “baffled” and still “mad.”
“Why do I owe you an excuse? Why do I owe you anything?” she wondered. “You thought I gave you a dirty look? Well, I think you’re being mean to me right now … and I think you were just using me for a plot. Do you want me to say that? I think you were just using me. I’m another guinea pig. I’m not a cast member. It makes you, it’s easy for you to just use me and John because, oh, we’re there, and oh, we’re stirring it up.”
Also on the podcast, Alexis confirmed that she paid John to attend the launch alongside her.
“My husband didn’t even want to go. I hate to pay him under the table to go — in favors,” she shared.
