When Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Giudice got into legal trouble years ago, one of the toughest consequences was Joe being deported.

While Joe, 56, had lived in the United States for over 40 years before being deported, he never gained citizenship.

His oldest daughter, Gia, has been vocal about wanting to get a presidential pardon to allow her dad to return home.

Yesterday, a photo of Teresa, 54, with President Donald Trump‘s Deputy Assistant to the President for Coalition Policy and Engagement, Lynne Patton, surfaced on social media in a post shared by Bloomberg News reporter Myles Miller.

“Teresa Guidice at DCA with Trump’s Deputy Assistant to the President for Coalition Policy and Engagement Lynne Patton,” wrote Myles in the caption for the photo, which also appears to show someone who resembles Gia, walking with Teresa and Lynne.

Upon seeing the snap, people assumed that it had to do with Joe getting a pardon.

As fans who have been following Joe’s case likely recall, he requested a pardon from the president on Instagram in June.

“I’m Joe Giudice. I served my time, and I’ve been deported from the U.S. for nearly a decade,” he wrote at the time. “I was raised in Jersey, I’m a father of four amazing daughters, and I just want to be allowed to visit them again. President Trump, I respect you, and I’m asking for a second chance.”

In July, Gia, 25, copped to being inspired by Donald’s pardoning of Chrisley Knows Best‘s Todd, 57, and Julie Chrisley, 53.

She took to Instagram to write that watching “the Chrisley family receive a second chance inspired me. It showed me that people can be forgiven, that families can be restored, and that sometimes the justice system has room for grace. That gave me hope. Hope that maybe my dad could come home, too.”

In August, Gia gave fans an update on Good Day NY.

“We just filed a humanitarian packet for him, just kind of trying to do everything we can to get him pardoned and hopefully come back, or even just on visitation,” she stated. “We’re still actively working through that and trying everything we can. I mean, I think any family would want their dad home. Any daughter or child would want their father home. So still actively doing whatever we can.”

Last month, Bravo head honcho Andy Cohen predicted Donald will end up pardoning Joe.

“I feel like Trump’s gonna do it … he knows your mom,” Andy, 58, said to Gia on the September 9 episode of Watch What Happens Live.

“Maybe just speak it into the universe,” Gia replied. “At this point, I don’t even care who does it. I just want him home. I think that’s the goal. I think that’s the hope. We do have things in place, and it’s just a matter of when, I guess, people will sympathize with his story.”
