The Real Housewives of New York City star Erin Lichy clarified whether she spread the rumor about Pavit Randhawa’s sexuality, as his wife Jessel Taank called her “ruthless” in a RHONY preview.
In the latest episode, Sai alleged, after hearing from Jenna Lyons that Erin was talking about Sai’s divorce, that Erin spread a rumor that Pavit was gay and hooked up with men in the steam room at his gym.
On a preview of the upcoming episode, via Bravo TV, Jessel called Erin “ruthless” for “spreading this rumor.”
In a separate scene with Carole Radziwill and Daisy Toye, Erin addressed Sai’s claim that Erin said “despicable” things about Pavit.
“I have not said a word about Jessel’s husband in f**king three years,” said Erin. “If she’s talking about a rumor that I heard three years ago that I told her in confidence, why would she even bring that out there?”
Daisy suggested that Sai “needed fighting words.”
“That’s f**ked up,” said Erin, who added in a confessional, “I think Sai is 100 percent getting back at me because she thinks that I spoke about her divorce. So she’s exposing something that I told her in confidence about Jessel. And that is a terrible friend. That’s a friend that I want as far away from me as humanly possible.”
Earlier this week in an Instagram comment, Carole accused Jessel of pretending to be “furious” about the rumor.
Jessel responded, “Appreciate the commentary but to be clear – I did think the rumor is ridiculous and treated it as such – but watching the season and seeing Erin’s ‘I know something that will ruin her family’ comment and intention behind it?! Now that’s weaponizing the rumor against us. And THAT is why I have every right to be ‘furious’.”
Carole fired back, “Babe, your timeline is off. Let me fix it: … your initial reaction was perfect & funny but you didn’t treat it that way…instead you decided to be furious about the ‘ridiculous rumor’ and your fury continued the entire time we filmed LAST SPRING,” Carole stated. “By your own admission you only found out that Erin thought it would ruin the family when you watched the show LAST WEEK.”
