On The Real Housewives of New York City‘s most recent episode, Carole Radziwill‘s name, being in disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein‘s infamous “Epstein files” came up.
While Carole, 63, did not shy away from discussing it, her costar Sai De Silva, 45, went at her pretty hard.
Specifically, Sai pressed Carole to know about her involvement with Epstein and his alleged madam/girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell. She also justified her questioning of Carole with the fact that she was a mother and the situation with the Epstein files pained her to her stomach.
Carole ended up rebutting that she had been sexually assaulted herself, so she understood the gravity of what Jeffrey did.
In the wake of all of the drama, an insider exclusively spoke to Reality Blurb to blast Sai for how she “attacked and antagonized” Carole.
“I don’t think anyone was surprised that the Epstein files came up,” the source shared. “It was a very public story, and with Carole back on the show, it was obviously going to be a topic of conversation, and Carole has been talking about it in interviews, social media, and publications for years. Carole has talked about being friends with Maxwell. This was never a secret. What shocked the cast was how Sai went about it and attacked and antagonized Carole. It turned from concern to accusation within 10 seconds. It felt like Sai had been waiting all season for her BIG shining moment to bring this up.”
“Sai needs to get new material,” they quipped.
The insider went on to point out something that “still isn’t tracking for the rest of the cast” regarding the situation.
“If Sai was SO disturbed by Carole’s name being in the files, why didn’t she ask her about it when they first met?” they asked. ” Instead, she waited over six weeks? And if she genuinely believed Carole could have been involved in a sex trafficking ring, why did she seem so fine in the afternoon playing tennis? It’s a performance. But a bad one. And it’s very obvious to the audience.”
“Nobody in the cast had suggested that Carole’s name appearing in the files meant she was involved in or had knowledge of criminal activity,” they continued. “Little fun fact – people who are involved in criminal activity don’t openly talk about it.”
The source noted that they thought it also was “incredibly unfair” for Sai to “weaponize being a mother to justify the way she interrogated Carole.”
“There are plenty of mothers in this group, and motherhood has absolutely nothing to do with why Carole’s name appeared in the files,” they said. “Being a mother doesn’t give you some kind of moral high ground in a conversation like this. And, as Daisy pointed out, what’s especially sad is that Carole felt compelled to disclose her own sexual assault. That’s an incredibly personal thing to share, and it shouldn’t have taken Carole having to disclose that trauma for Sai to understand where she stands. She has never needed to put that part of her life on public display to prove who she is.”
The way Carole has always conducted herself was also noted by the insider, as they shared she’s “always been a vocal feminist and an advocate for women’s rights.”
“Anyone who actually knows her – cough, cough, not Sai – knows she would never support someone like Jeffrey Epstein or, by extension, Ghislaine Maxwell. And perhaps Sai should be a little more concerned with the conversation surrounding her own impending divorce, and the fact that that news conveniently dropped on TMZ right before the girls’ trip, than with trying to make Carole the villain in this situation. Just some food for thought.”
“As for where Carole and Sai’s relationship goes from here? ” they concluded. “Buckle up. You’re in for a wild ride.”
Reality Blurb reached out to Carole and her representatives for comment but did not receive a response.
