Hudson McLeroy posted to his ex, Ariana Biermann, and shared more details on why the relationship ended. Around the same time, Ariana was rumored to be with castmate Liam Obergfoll in Italy amid their rumored romance.
In August, Ariana’s brother was arrested after being accused of sexual assault. Many fans of Next Gen NYC have slammed their family in general, and Ariana’s parents Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are still in the midst of a contentious divorce.
In an October 20 Instagram post, Hudson shared a series of past photos from his relationship with Ariana, as he said this is how he wants to be remembered on his 25th birthday, because he was “happy.”
“Somewhere along the way I started looking for that feeling in the wrong places. Another like. Another comment. Another way to fill an empty tank that wasn’t gasoline and since I’ve been transparent lately… it was drugs,” he added in the caption. “But still even that couldn’t give me what I was missing. Nor any relationship could.”
“I’m sure some of you watched season two of next gen and saw a version of me that seemed to think I could set boundaries in someone else’s life,” he said, seemingly alluding to how he told other guys in the group not to date Ariana. “I had no place doing that. A lot of my humor is pure sarcasm which didn’t come across in my edit on camera but Ariana always understood my humor and loved it that’s why we were able to build the relationship we have for over more than ten years.”
He then addressed the criticism Ariana and her family have been getting on social media.
“Even though we’ve recently broken up I’ve seen the comments about her and her family,” he said. “While I can’t speak for her or for her family I can say this, please shut the f**k up and leave them alone. She’s dealing with enough without a random @ hiding behind a profile picture of their family dog adding their opinions.”
“Our relationship has held more weight than most people will ever know. We were trying to work things out while filming a reality tv show and move to a new city. Considering that city was New York added an entire new set of stress and anxiety,” he said. “We supported each other through divorces in each others families. … There were the moments you’ll never forget and then the nights we drank too much and argued. Some words fade. Others leave scars.”
Hudson uploaded several photos of himself with Ariana from the past. In one caption, he wrote, “I’m sorry I couldn’t see how much you were hurting because I was so caught up in how happy you made me. I let what I felt drown out what you were trying to tell me.”
In another caption, he added, “I’ve learned to let go of that stupid disagreement over who was right. Listen a little closer when someone you love is trying to help you be better. Being loved doesn’t mean you’ve done your part in loving someone back. Which I found out the hard way.”

Around the same time, Bravo and Cocktails alleged that Ariana brought Liam to Italy for the wedding of Ariana and Hudson’s “bff.” Though Liam posted about the wedding, Hudson did not, which led fans to wonder if he went.
