Gina does not want the OC drama to come to Japan, but on this episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, the fighting continues. Heather focuses on Gina’s spending, questioning if she is making fiscally responsible decisions. Vicki is choosing to put her differences with Tamra aside until she learns of another thing Tamra was saying about her. And while the Tokyo drama is unfolding, Carmella is having a hard time trusting her boyfriend and getting it all under control.
Shannon checks in on Vicki post-fight with Tamra. Vicki feels like everyone’s chirping caused this blowout. Doesn’t seem like there is much of a resolution, considering Vicki is scared of Tamra.
The next day, Tamra and Vicki are together in a Sprinter van, which is bizarre since they nearly killed each other the night before. Because it is the final day in Japan, Vicki has decided to move on and shop, since that always fixes things.
Naturally, fancy pants refuses to shop vintage, since she does not know who had it before her… unlike Gina, who came ready to spend. Shannon, Emily, and Gina talk about Tamra and her lack of accountability, especially since she has been telling people that Vicki is not talking to her daughter. It’s time Tamra gets in front of this before it spirals out of control, yet again.
In the meantime, Gina’s spending becomes a hot topic for Heather, Tamra, Jenn, and Vicki. Heather points out that a real estate career is full of ups and downs and that this fame and money do not last. Tamra wonders how Gina funds shopping sprees like this, considering she has six children.
Heather dishes that Emily and Gina even hired a stylist that cost them $12,000 each! Jenn hopes they don’t lose the old Gina since she was always so endearing.
Meanwhile, back in California, Carmella is busy cleaning out her closet with her daughter. She is having a hard time realizing that her oldest daughter will be leaving the nest soon. Carmella understands that it is her job as a mom to send them out into the world, but it does not make it any easier, especially when her daughter asks for a nose job for her 18th birthday.
Harajuku fashion represents a breakaway from the cultural norm and promotes individuality. The ladies plan on dressing this way in honor of the final night. When Tamra begins prodding about Gina, Emily shares that Gina has always been into fashion. Tamra wonders if Emily is concerned about the spending and outs Heather’s “worry” about her finances. According to Emily, Gina is going to be doing $20 million in closing this year, so she can treat herself!
Naturally, Emily runs and tells Gina about Heather’s concern. Gina becomes defensive and reminds Emily she is not irresponsible with her money. She does not appreciate how Heather is judging since she is not her mom, nor is she Gina’s financial planner.
Dressed in Harajuku style, the ladies pile into the vans and prepare to do the most crowded crossing in the world dressed like this. Afterwards, they head to dinner and tease Shannon about her love of Steve Guttenberg.
Tamra and Jenn are getting along swimmingly, and it seems like Heather may be a little jealous that she has lost her buddy. Tamra believes this has been the trip of a lifetime, but then of course, Gina needs to confront Heather about her money comments earlier. Being a real estate agent is not the same as being an actress, so Gina wonders why Heather would come from such a place of judgment.
Heather feels like Gina is always looking to have a problem with her. Jenn explains that she loved the girl who lived in a casita, and now she is here. Gina is livid over this and tries to explain the casita situation from years before, throughout the divorce. Casita Gina insinuates that she was poor, living there with her kids, and that’s not true.
Jenn claims she was trying to say that Gina has been inspiring, but Gina makes it clear that she is still living within her means. Jenn wishes she could figure out how to become successful and explains that she was more of an assistant to Carmella. Emily suggests Jenn work within the fitness world.
Emily believes that everyone within the group genuinely cares for one another, despite the fighting during the trip. It has been a helluva journey, and they end Japan on a high note.
Now that they are home in the OC, the ladies are back in the groove. Jenn invites Gretchen and a bunch of women to attend her class “Sexy Fit.” Ever since the trip, Jenn feels invigorated to jump-start her career. Gretchen believes that Jenn should follow through with this. They also chat about weddings, and Gretchen jokes about hosting a dual wedding, since she was never technically married.
Carmella has Shannon and Jenn over. Shannon shares that if she does not do the radiation for Archie, he only has four to six months to live.
Carmella explains how horrible she felt for missing the Japan trip and believes she let everyone down. Jenn says that she was excited to get closer with Carmella in Tokyo and wonders why Carmella did not tell her outright that she was not attending. Shannon explains that no one wants to make Carmella feel worse for missing it, but Carmella begins crying.
Carmella shares that she feels down and there is so much change going on in her life. She admits that she does not know what she is doing, and she believes that something is not right with her boyfriend, Danny.
Ryan is busy begging Jenn to set a date for their wedding as Gina and Travis see a lawyer for a prenup. Gina learned the hard way what could possibly go wrong if a marriage goes sideways, and so this time, she is protecting herself.
Speaking of marriages, Emily opens up to Shane about the things she said about him while in Tokyo. They were not in the best place then, but now they are spending more time together and reconnecting. Because of this, Emily is not ready to give up on her marriage.
A day-drunk Heather meets up with Tamra and Vicki, and they catch up post-Japan. Vicki tells Tamra, “Sure,” they are okay. Tamra apologizes for lashing out and bringing Vicki’s daughter into their fight. Vicki explains she does not fight with her daughter; they just don’t see each other often. Vicki thought she had already hashed out the issues with Tamra, and Tamra is hopeful that one day they will be as tight as they once were. It’s the same story with these two…
Jenn, Emily, Gina, and her daughter do a beach cleanup. Jenn talks about how Carmella broke down about her boyfriend AND the stressful friend group. Emily says that Vicki is always out of line with her comments, and they joke that Jenn is BFFs with Tamra now.
Jenn wonders if her friendship with Tamra is natural. Gina and Emily feel like Tamra is pushing this tightness to spite Heather, since their behavior towards one another took such a 180. Jenn claims that she is scared about the situation with Tamra and wonders if this is a genuine friendship.
Three days later, Jenn questions Tamra about her motives, and the sh*t gets stirred with this group of ladies…
