Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick are speaking out against a recent rumor suggesting they’d split.
After a Reddit user alleged that they were “living separately” following a huge falling out after the season three reunion for The Valley and would be announcing their breakup “soon,” Kristen, 43, and Luke, 35, took to their Instagram Stories, where they confirmed they were still very much together.
“Love you [Kristen Doute],” Luke wrote on a post that included a screenshot of the rumor and several crying-while-laughing emojis.
“[Love you] too babe,” Kristen replied as she reshared his post with a message of her own.
“You guys. It’s a f*cking REDDIT RUMOR. Since when did we start believing what we read on Reddit?” she asked her fans and followers.
Earlier this week, a Reddit user shared a post titled, “I have unverifiable confirmation Kristen [and] Luke have split [and] will announce soon.”
“Unfortunately I can’t share my source but it was confirmed to me they split [and] will announce soon,” the user shared. “Also was mentioned they are living separately [and] had a huge falling out post reunion [and] have been on the outs since … [I] can’t confirm anything until they actually announce, but I feel awful for Kristen, I know she wanted them to work out.”
A short time later, Kristen offered a subtle response from a photo shoot with Luke and their one-year-old daughter, Kaia.
“Great day shooting with [Momé] magazine, can’t wait for everyone to see the interview!” Kristen wrote in the caption.
The rumor came weeks after it was alleged that Kristen and Luke were facing potential tension about where they were living, specifically Luke’s desire to get out of Los Angeles.
“He took her word for it, she trusted that he would fall in love with LA in that time. We are seeing the fallout in real time,” a fan claimed on Threads.
But Kristen denied that she and Luke were ever planning to move to Colorado.
“Our plan has always been to move before our baby was of school age (this was before we got pregnant with Kaia). We want to be closer to family. Our families live in the midwest, where we are from – that’s why Nashville is ideal and on the table. Luke has a house and acres in Colorado that we love but we were never going to live there permanently,” she clarified.
The Valley season four is currently in production and expected to premiere on Bravo sometime early next year.
