K. Michelle shared that she’s spoken to Shamea Morton since the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, as she revealed where they stand and hinted that castmates were “ma[king] fun of me” because Michelle was “going so hard for her.”
Last season, Michelle and Shamea started as friends, but their bond was broken as the show went on. Some fans believe that the cast turned Michelle against her, and this is why they argued so much at the contentious reunion.
On Yung Joe & The Streetz Morning Takeover, Michelle shared that she and Shamea have spoken since the reunion, and she addressed where they stand.
“That’s not my type of person,” said Michelle, via @nochaser_tv on Instagram. “The girls even made fun of me because they were like, I was so hard. I was going so hard for her.”
Michelle added that she cries on the show either because someone “pissed me off” or because “I’m emotional.”
“And I love so hard,” said Michelle, who addressed the claim that she’s mean. “If I love you, I love you.”
Back in July on The Neighborhood Talk, Shamea responded to the claim that colorism could be why her co-stars treated her badly.
“If you treat people with kindness, it should be reciprocated,” Shamea stated at the time. “And oftentimes, we don’t see that. I mean, heck. I’ve been taking it on the chin from fans since I joined the cast. So it’s just nice to finally see that people are seeing things from my POV.”
“‘Cause you know, there’s always your truth, their truth, and then the real truth,” she added. “I’m just happy that people are even opening up their eyes to actually see and try to understand it. Cause I was like … what is happening? Why is it happening? … Why me? … I just hope at some point we can get to a space where we’re all one cohesive group and there’s no division. That’s my goal.”
At last season’s reunion, almost no one was on Shamea’s side. Some fans are wondering if the new season will have the same trajectory.
