Savannah Chrisley‘s fiancé, Jason Galanis, had over $100 million in financial liabilities when he divorced ex-wife Monet Berger in 2018.

Days after the 29-year-old Chrisley Knows Best alum announced she was pregnant and engaged, and after her partner’s identity was confirmed, the 56-year-old convicted fraudster’s past financial obligations have been revealed, just as his own brother, Derek Galanis, 54, warned that Savannah was in for a “rocky ride” with Jason, who was formerly known as “Porn’s New King.”

According to a divorce judgment obtained by TMZ on October 28, Jason had more than $100 million in liabilities, including $37 million in restitution, two forfeiture amounts of $37 million and $43 million, and around $12 million in taxes, when his and Monet’s divorce was finalized in April 2018. He also had a personal guarantee between  $8 million and $9 million.

Jason was convicted of fraud crimes before and during their marriage and was sentenced to 16.5 years for securities fraud and other charges, and Monet was in the dark about much of their finances, including their assets and debts, as the two of them had separate accounts. She also didn’t know that their marriage was never actually registered in California, or that Jason had forged her signature on some of their tax returns.

After being met with fraud charges, Jason was ordered to cover liabilities stemming from his crimes to keep Monet protected and off the hook.

While Savannah has defended Jason against backlash regarding his past, Derek, who has been estranged from Jason since 2016, had nothing good to say about him on Wednesday.

“It’s his biggest con yet,” Derek told Page Six after learning of Jason and Savannah’s courtship. “This girl’s in for a rocky ride. He’s not a changed man, he’s the same dude he always was.”

Derek then gave a nod to the fact that Jason served time with Savannah’s father, Todd Chrisley, 57, at the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida, before they were both pardoned by President Donald Trump, 80.

“My brother is one year younger than her father,” Derek said. “They were in prison together, right? Both my brother and her father were pardoned by Trump. This is a continuation. It’s wild.”

Savannah met Jason during the time she was working to have Todd and her mother, Julie Chrisley, 53, released from prison following their own fraud convictions, and in December 2025, they got engaged after just five months of dating.

Derek, who was also convicted of fraud due to his ties to Jason’s case, then said that Jason never thanked him for speaking out against his ex-business associate, former first son Hunter Biden, 56.

In other Savannah Chrisley news, real estate records obtained by TMZ on October 28 confirmed that the reality star-turned-podcaster purchased a Nashville-area home for $2.225 million in February.

According to the report, Jason is living with her at the five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom, 5,207-square-foot home, which features multiple fireplaces, marble and wood floors, a gourmet kitchen with high-end appliances, privacy fencing, and a two-car garage.
