Scheana Shay is clapping back at Lala Kent‘s subtle digs.
After Lala, 35, accused Scheana, 40, of going public with issues that should’ve been kept between them, noting that Scheana was “Scheana-ing,” the Vanderpump Rules alum and frequent guest star of The Valley admitted that she didn’t like her co-star’s behavior.
“You know I didn’t really like that, if I can be honest. I feel like I love her so much, but it’s like the subtle digs that I see, and I’m like, ‘I don’t really like that,’” Scheana told Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea on September 17.
Then, sharing what she was reacting to, Scheana added that Lala had claimed she was “not taking accountability for why Scheana is Scheana-ing at the moment.”
Scheana’s comments came just days after Lala spoke to Parade about their current status.
“I was under the impression that we had hit a bump in the road and that we were gonna handle our issues behind closed doors because we’ve built such a deep-rooted family dynamic, and she’s chosen to take it to the streets, and I don’t appreciate it. I don’t like it, but that’s just Scheana Scheana’ing. So we’ll handle her accordingly,” Lala had declared.
While Lala didn’t say what their issues were, Scheana previously suggested that Lala hadn’t supported her new book, My Good Side, which was released in July, in the way she had hoped.
“I haven’t [texted her],” Lala continued. “I saw her, I want to say, two weekends ago. I went over to her house in Palm Springs, and I felt like, you know, we were off. We were off, but it was nothing that we couldn’t work through. And then, she just has continued to do things that I don’t appreciate.”
According to Lala, Scheana’s public statements have made her feel that a side of her could come out that she doesn’t want.
“I need [that side of me] not come out because I care deeply for Scheana and her family,” Lala explained. “So I’m just trying to kind of take a step back and pinpoint how I’m feeling and try to convey that properly. I would have liked to have done that not in [the] press, but that’s what she’s chosen to do.”
As for whether they could repair their friendship, Lala was blunt.
“If she keeps going down this road, no,” she stated. “I would like her to stop.”
The Valley season three is currently in production.
