Tom Schwartz welcomed his new girlfriend, model Kiana Carroll, to his podcast on Tuesday.
As he promoted the latest episode of Detox Retox, the 43-year-old Vanderpump Rules alum, who split from ex-wife Katie Maloney, 38, in 2022, shared a soft launch with Kiana, 27, as the two of them were heard discussing their modeling careers and the Bravo reality show.
“Ever wonder what it’s really like to make a living as a model?” Tom asked in the caption of his November 12 post on Instagram. “At some point, you’ve probably thought damn, I’d like to get paid to look pretty. But it’s more than a just being a pretty face & competition is FIERCE.”
“It’s not for the faint of heart. Job insecurity lurks after every casting and for every breakout star, there are a troves of stunning faces barely booking. I did my share of print work back in my early LA days. Fed off the scraps from the the big models but even then always felt lucky to book a gig,” he continued.
Tom then said he had interviewed Kiana, whom he described as “one of [his] favorite humans in the world,” in New York City, applauding her as charismatic, funny, and beautiful.

On the November 11 episode of Detox Retox, Kiana revealed she was discovered by a scouting agent in Orlando, where she was attending college, sharing that he connected her to an agent who linked her with a large agency in New York City. Meanwhile, Tom joked about his own modeling past, admitting that he was “never a real model.”
“I was a ‘mactor,’” he explained. “When I first started, Tom Sandoval gave me his old book from his Miami modeling days and I had like four pictures in there and I was always almost embarrassed to hand it over to prospective clients.”
Moving on to Bravo, Kiana said she was a fan of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and compared it to Pump Rules.
“You couldn’t have scripted a better show … it’s so perfect. Some people probably say that about Vanderpump. You couldn’t have even, if you tried to script it, you couldn’t have created such magic; it was so good,” she noted.
“It was a once-in-a-lifetime, lightning in a bottle scenario,” Tom agreed.
