Kyle Richards claims her friendship with Sutton Stracke changed after Garcelle Beauvais exited The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

While also sharing her thoughts on dating and marriage amid her ongoing separation from Mauricio Umansky, 55, calling out her castmates for failing to talk about their dating lives on the show, and admitting to nearly quitting the series after season 14, Kyle, 55, teased changing dynamics between friends on season 15, and more.

On the December 1 episode of Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap, after saying she was closest to Erika Jayne, 54, and Sutton, 54, Kyle reacted to the idea that Sutton needed more allies on the show after Garcelle quit.

“Yes, but also, I think that affected our friendship as well,” she explained. “I think their friendship affected my relationship with Sutton, so I think that, oddly, that made it easier to work on our friendship. It didn’t necessarily need working on, but it just felt more genuine to me this season.”

“People don’t realize that Sutton and I are good friends, and it just felt like I kind of had that back again,” she added.

In another interview on December 1, Kyle confirmed that while she’s not dating, she’s open to the idea.

“I’m not on any dating apps … [But] I can finally say the word ‘single,’” she told Extra TV. “I believe in love, I believe in marriage. I just, I’m not someone who, I don’t go out, really. Like I said, I’m not on a dating app or anything so, and I think for me the scariest part was thinking what would it be like to be alone, would it be scary, and I’m not afraid of that anymore.”

Looking back on season 15, Kyle said her castmates definitely tried to set her up.

“The girls definitely try, you know, a lot this season. They try. A for effort,” she shared.

She then spoke of her comment about liking both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, which seemed to confirm her bisexuality.

“We were at a dating event that [Bozoma Saint John] had put on, and everyone kept coming up to me asking, ‘What’s your type? What’s your type?’ and I was like, ‘Listen, I know where you’re going,’ so I gave them what I knew they wanted to hear, and it made everybody laugh, and hopefully now they’ll just move on and just let me be now,” she explained.

“I’m asked so much about my separation and everything and dating. I’m like, ‘How come you guys never talk about your lives? And I don’t pressure you.’ So it did the trick, and they backed off,” she noted.

Also on Monday, Kyle appeared on Live! With Kelly & Mark, where she spoke of breaking history as the “longest-running housewife.”

“It feels a little bit like I don’t know, how could I do this? But I’ve been hanging in there a long time,” she admitted, via Decider. “I never imagined—when I started the show, I thought I would be there a few months, making this little show where they would just follow me around with my kids in the house. I didn’t have an idea of what this was.”

Although Kyle returned to her full-time role for season 15, she said that the season 14 reunion, which saw her facing off with Dorit Kemsley, 49, and pushing back against questions about her personal life, left her feeling like she should walk away.

“That’s the first time I’ve ever walked off shooting and thought I won’t come back,” she revealed. “I wasn’t very proud of that moment because the way it went down, but it was just too much and I wasn’t in the headspace.”

According to Kyle, she “probably shouldn’t have come back” for season 14, since she “was going through a very difficult time.” However, when season 15 came around, she said she was “definitely a lot stronger.”

Regarding what fans can expect from season 15, Kyle spoke of friendships ending and new ones forming.

“Anybody you thought were great friends are no longer,” she said. “And anybody you thought would never be friends are. So the dynamics have totally changed. And there’s a lot of drama, unfortunately, between some people—myself included—that I would never imagine this would happen with. So that part was sad and crazy, but to be expected, I guess.”

Also during the appearance, Kyle commented on new cast member Rachel Zoe, 54, who she said was “great.”

“I’ve known her for years, just socially,” she explained. “But getting to know someone in that environment is very different.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 premieres on Thursday at 8/7c on Bravo.
