Kyle Cooke took to his Instagram Story on Monday night after being criticized for taking a photo with his estranged wife, Amanda Batula, at the premiere of In the City.
As Amanda, 34, continues to face backlash over the shocking reveal of her romance with West Wilson, 31, which began behind the back of both Kyle, 43, and her longtime friend, Ciara Miller, 30, the former couple attended their new show’s premiere with their co-stars, including Lindsay Hubbard, 39, and Danielle Olivera, 37, leading many to wonder why Kyle was playing nice.
“You guys, yes, Amanda and I took a picture together. I was just happy that she showed up. She almost didn’t come to a show that she participated in,” Kyle explained on May 18.
He then said, “Shoot me. Shoot me. But don’t call my life, my relationship, my marriage, and my implosion of a marriage fake.”
“Guys, with all due respect, we’re all adults here, and we all showed up to a premiere party. And, yes, Amanda did not want to come. I convinced her to come. We took a photo together. Grow the f*ck up,” he added.

On Monday night, after Entertainment Tonight shared a video of Kyle and Amanda posing together, fans spoke out, many of whom expressed disappointment in Amanda’s attendance, and others who questioned Kyle.

“Could care less about seeing Amanda. Kyle has shown a lot of class during all of this! Way to go Kyle!!!!” one person proclaimed in a comment to the clip.
“I don’t think they are actually going to get a divorce,” another suspected.
A third criticized Kyle for “making excuses for [Amanda’s] behavior,” and a fourth suggested he was being “fake.”
“F NO!!!!!!! IT’S SO FAKE AND HE’S ONLY DOING IT SO SAVE HIS COINS. WE DO NOT WANT TO SEE THEM TOGETHER. WE DO NOT WANT TO SEE HER FACE ON OUR SCREENS EVEN FOR ONE SECOND … [BRAVO] READ THE ROOM!!!!!” they declared.
Meanwhile, someone else added, “I would not be taking a couple pic with her. I could be cordial but single photos only for sure. He now coming off as being not genuine, doing and saying stuff to boost an image of the nice guy.”
The Summer House season 10 finale airs tonight, May 19, at 8/7c, followed by the premiere of In the City season one at 9/8c on Bravo.
