Alicia Carmody revealed if she signed the paperwork to be a 50 percent owner of Pizza Mamma with her fiancé Billy Kitsilis – after he handed her the documents at the Real Housewives of Rhode Island reunion.
Throughout the season, Alicia addressed the fact that Billy never added her name to the restaurant, despite her pivotal role in creating it. At the reunion, Billy shared that Alicia can own 50 percent if she agrees to drive their kid to dance several times a week. At first, Alicia was hesitant to sign it, though castmates encouraged her to. Andy Cohen, however, urged her to wait until fully knowing the contract.
In a recent Instagram post, Alicia indicated that she signed the paperwork to own half of Pizza Mamma.
In a video in front of her restaurant, the star drank champagne and opened a box of pizza. “This and owning 50%,” she wrote in the caption, tagging the restaurant.
Last month, in an interview with BravoTV.com, Alicia shared why she and Billy never tied the knot, despite their nine-year engagement.
“I didn’t like how I had to sign the prenup at first, and then I was like, I’ll just do it later on. It’s like I got anxiety about the actual commitment, ’cause like, what if it doesn’t work? Then it’s a divorce. But if we’re not married and we’re still together, that means we obviously love each other,” she said. “I’m not the type of guy that brings [the prenup] up all the time ’cause it’s draining for me too. But yeah, it comes up like twice a year.”
“I love Billy, and I definitely talked about our problems, but I feel like I’m trying to be open and honest. But he’s the best thing that ever happened to me. He literally changed my life and saved me from dating horrible men. He gave me my beautiful daughter, so he’s worth it,” added Alicia, who shared that Billy recently gave her a new engagement ring. “You know, I would die if he ever left me. I need him in my life.”
