Alicia Carmody Shares Real Reason She Eats Crackers on RHORI, Plus Talks Reunion and Where She Stands With Costars

Alicia Carmody revealed the real reason she eats crackers on Real Housewives of Rhode Island, and she hinted at things being “answered for” at the reunion. The star also shared where she now stands with her co-stars.

In the premiere season, Alicia feuded with Liz McGraw, whom she’s known since birth. The longtime friends started fighting after Liz denied Alicia’s claim that she was once “homeless” as a child. According to Liz, Alicia wasn’t homeless because she was staying in the house of family members.

Throughout the season, many fans were amused by Alicia’s desire for crackers, which she talked about often.

On the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, Alicia revealed the real reason she has crackers on the show.

“To be honest with you, with the crackers, I think it’s more like a nervous thing. I have anxiety,” she said, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram. “And I didn’t realize how much I talked about crackers until watching myself back on the show.”

“It was my anxiety,” she went on. “You know when you get butterflies, that feeling? I would just want a cracker. You know, like some people want a cig. I wanted a cracker.” Alicia said she used to smoke cigarettes, but she quit when she got pregnant.

She then addressed the dramatic reunion.

“The reunion was needed. It was very much needed,” she said. “And I feel like a lot of things had to be said and answered for.” The star suggested that she left the reunion on good terms with each of her co-stars.

Later on, Alicia hinted that her real issue with Liz was the fact that she gave her “attitude on camera.” Eventually, Alicia decided to be “real” about her responses, so she began reacting to Liz “[in the way] I would answer her” off camera.

“Normally I would have never talked to her again, but since I’m on the show with her, I’m like, well, I have to forgive her,” she said. “Which is good. Forgiveness is good.”

The first season of Real Housewives of Rhode Island recently concluded.
