Taylor Frankie Paul offered a couple of updates on Instagram after the premiere of the fifth season of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

As she also reacted to the cringy bathtub scene she filmed with ex-boyfriend Ben Lambert amid a cast trip to New York City, Taylor, 32, admitted that she wasn’t proud of the behavior she exhibited amid filming, spoke of self-reflection, and confirmed she was a “work in progress.”

“Life update: not proud but it’s in the past and we’re trying to move forward with so much more of my story that’s untold,” Taylor wrote in the caption of a video of herself lying in bed.

Meanwhile, in the video, she added, “I just woke up. I have not seen the show. I don’t even remember much of what happened. I went on socials for a little bit, and that was terrifying. I’m drinking from a bath sink, not my proudest moment.”

Taylor then reminded her fans and followers that the scenes were filmed months ago.

“It’s been like, seven, eight months of just, like, [being] alone, healing or trying to, self-reflection, but yeah, pretty messy, but we are a work in progress. That’s the update,” she declared.

Also on Instagram, Steph With the Deets shared her reaction to the season’s third episode, which featured Taylor and Ben, who Taylor began dating before she left to film The Bachelorette, in a bath together.

“Hey, dear Hulu, was this scene necessary? I think not,” she stated.

Steph also pointed out that Ben had told Taylor he was dating for a wife, as Taylor admitted to Jen Affleck, 27, that she wasn’t sure if she ever wanted to get married.

“Why are we using another human being with feelings to escape another human being?” Miranda Hope, 28, had asked of Taylor’s apparent habit of using men to get over her other ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, 33.

As the video recap continued, Steph pointed out that Taylor’s co-stars had grown tired of watching her go after validation from men, rather than her girlfriends.

In comments on Steph’s clip, one person said, “That bath scene was crazy,” as another added, “I was cringing during that bathtub scene.”

“It was SO cringe,” agreed a third.

As for Taylor, she weighed in as well, writing, “Oh no I haven’t watched yet … this [is] so bad.”
