Amanda Batula is reportedly not returning to In the City for its second season, at least not as a full-time cast member.
A day after Andy Cohen faced a hostile audience at Bravo Fan Fest while being asked about Amanda’s future on Bravo, a new report states that Amanda has not been filming for In the City season two.
According to Variety, Amanda “isn’t expected to return as a full-time cast member — though she could eventually film scenes with Kyle.”
Last season at the Summer House reunion, Amanda addressed how she was secretly dating her best friend Ciara Miller’s ex-boyfriend West. Amanda is still legally married to her co-star Kyle Cooke, who was friends with West at the time. Though Amanda did not return to film the newest season of Summer House, some fans were still expecting her to appear on its spinoff, In the City.
However, while on stage last night at Bravo Fan Fest in Charleston, Andy dealt with a hostile audience as a fan asked if he thinks Amanda could ever come back to Summer House.
Before Andy could even answer, the audience started booing. Andy held up his hands to try to calm them down. When they finally got quiet, he answered, “I heard from West [Wilson] two days ago–”
Fans immediately started booing again.
“Alright,” said Andy, via @tasteof_reality on Instagram. “So nasty and so rude.” When they finally let him finish, he continued, “And [West] was with Amanda getting St. Louis-style pizza. [It was] the first time she had had it–”
Fans then booed the fact that Amanda and West got pizza.
“Alright,” said Andy, clearly frustrated. “Well, I’m just telling my story now. So you don’t need to boo me. … I certainly could see [Amanda] being on In the City [again].”
Then they booed again.
In the past, a complaint Bravo stars have had about fan events like Bravo Fan Fest or BravoCon is that the audience boos and talks over them while they’re trying to answer questions. Some feel that the energy is toxic at an event where fans are meant to enjoy the stars.
Andy was simply sharing his stories and opinions at the event, but the audience apparently couldn’t handle it. If it were up to someone in the crowd, they would’ve booed through Andy’s entire answer — and no one would’ve heard a word of it.
