Bravo Fan Fest took place this past weekend in Charleston, South Carolina, and it was one of the biggest Bravo events.
The day consisted of many panels with Bravolebrities, where many hot topics arose.
During one panel, Bravo head honcho Andy Cohen was asked how many Housewives have actually departed their franchises of their own accord.
He threw the question to the women sitting alongside him, who made their best educated guesses at the number.
Andy, 58, insisted there’s “been a few,” naming Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Caroline Manzo.
When someone named Real Housewives of Potomac alum Candiace Dillard as someone who had made the choice to leave, Andy did not acknowledge that as fact.
Rather, he nodded and reiterated that there have “been a few.”

This made people think that he was hinting that Candiace, 39, was indeed fired.
Former Bravo producer Patrick McDonald, who has spilled alleged behind-the-scenes secrets before, commented on an Instagram post with the clip.
“Hi. Former RHOP producer here that worked on Candiace’s final 2 seasons. 👋🏼,” he wrote. “It’s so interesting that Andy Cohen would imply that Candiace’s exit was entirely Bravo’s idea when that could not be further from the truth.”
Patrick added, “During @therealcandiace’s final season, when we were on a cast trip in the Dominican Republic, I vividly remember staying up and talking to Candiace until 5 o’clock in the morning as she was weighing the pros & cons about whether or not she wanted to return to the show.”

“She was very much considering leaving the show during that final season,” he continued. “And I also remember chatting with her when she ultimately decided that returning wasn’t worth it to her and her family. So if Bravo didn’t want her to return, the parting of ways was mutual at its most scandalous. You cannot fire someone who is vocally and openly considering leaving their position.”

Patrick concluded his message by slamming Andy, insisting this was “just another example of Andy Cohen rewriting the narrative after the fact and trying to tarnish the word & reputation of yet another woman of color in an effort to discredit her for not toeing the company line, which he has done to multiple women who have had the courage to speak up about the problematic culture at Bravo. 🌈”

Andy has yet to respond to what Patrick said, and Candiace has yet to put her two cents in on the entire ordeal.
