Jenelle Evans was accused of child abuse last year when she and her now-husband, David Eason, were seen refusing to feed her three-year-old son Kaiser as they participated in an engagement photo shoot. Now, months later, the shocking scene has cost Evans a job.
Days ago, the Teen Mom 2 star shared a promotional post for Blue Apron which included a photo of her cooking one of their meals. Right away, Evans’ followers and fans of the show began flooding the food service company with backlash for choosing the controversial reality star to represent their brand.
“I will pass on Blue Apron now that I know you support Jenelle Evans,” one person tweeted.
“By @BlueApron having Jenelle Evans as an advertiser for your company is such a bad idea,” another wrote. “She’s a drug addict who abuses her kids on TV. You just lost my business. Good job. I won’t be the only one.”
While Evans is believed to have been clean of drugs for some time, the fans’ comments quickly got the attention of Blue Apron, who has since announced that they will no longer be working with the mother of three.
“Thanks for reaching out,” they told one concerned buyer. “We will no longer be advertising with Jenelle.”

Quickly, news of the firing spread online and some Twitter users tweeted back to the company, promising to restart their meal plans and applauding the company for doing “the right thing.”
During the eighth season of Teen Mom 2 last year, Evans and Eason faced major criticism online after fans watched as Kaiser begged for food during his mother’s photo shoot. They then watched in horror as Eason became frustrated with his behavior and yanked him by the arm across their backyard.
Following the episode, viewers of the MTV reality series started the #SaveKaiser hashtag on Twitter.
