Shannon Beador and David Beador attended a divorce and custody hearing in Southern California last week and during their appearance, a judge awarded the Real Housewives of Orange County star with joint physical and legal custody of their three daughters.
Shannon was also granted $30,000 per month for child and spousal support, which left David “shaking with anger” as he reportedly “spewed profanities” at his soon-to-be ex-wife and claimed the steep amount would lead his company into bankruptcy.
However, a new report is now revealing that the $30K a month amount has been reduced.
According to PEOPLE magazine, David will now have to pay Shannon $22,500 each month for both spousal and child support.
Despite David’s seemingly irrational behavior, Shannon and her lawyer were the ones who requested David’s monthly payments of $30,000 be lowered to just $22,500 per month. However, when the former couple reunites for their next court hearing in July, both parties’ finances will be analyzed and adjustments will be made if needed.
While Shannon hopes to keep things civil with David for the sake of their three children, including 16-year-old Sophie and 13-year-old twins Stella and Adeline, David may not feel the same way. In fact, according to sources, he’s turned the water off at the home where Shannon and their children reside. Court documents do state that Shannon will “be responsible for all of her own expenses commencing forthwith.”
Shannon is also speaking out amid the bitter divorce battle.
“As David and I continue our divorce proceedings, I’m doing everything I can to move things efficiently along so that our three children are not subjected to unnecessary stress during an already difficult time,” Shannon said in a statement to PEOPLE on March 22. “I want to be as fair as possible. I remain focused on a clean resolution and have no interest in engaging in a war of words.”
In court documents, it was noted that Shannon and David’s “children shall reside primarily with Shannon,” but “shall spend significant time with each party by agreement of the parties.”
Shannon and David “shall communicate with one another to ensure the children are appropriately cared for at all times, and endeavor to impose uniform rules for the children regardless of which parent is caring for the children at any given time,” the documents continued.
Shannon and David first split in October of last year, with Shannon officially filing for divorce in December.
