Although the cast of The Real Housewives of Dallas is known for being one of the most glamorous casts of the franchise, they are ditching their signature blowouts and scrubbing their faces of all makeup in the name of natural beauty.
Ahead of the upcoming release of People magazine’s upcoming Beautiful Issue on April 18, the cast of the Bravo reality series are posing bare-faced.
LeeAnne Locken
LeeAnne Locken may look like perfection, with or without makeup, but the reality star told People magazine that she is actually a bit self-conscious when it comes to certain aspects of her look.
“I have gotten very good at covering up the scars on my face with makeup but in the end, they are simply evidence of a life that has been lived!” she explained.
LeeAnne then said that she does her best to keep her face clean and bright with minimal products.
“I have always washed my face religiously! Every morning and night. Products have come & gone but a gentle cleanser is everything to me!” LeAnn said.
She also swears by tinted sunscreen.
“When I was a kid I laid on a black trampoline to sunbathe, can you say first degree burn! Now I am very cautious about sun damage and pigmentation,” she admitted.
Brandi Redmond
“I feel most beautiful when I’m makeup free, and I see my daughters in me,” Brandi Redmond explained.
Brandi said that while she loves to play up her eyes and feels that she can speak through them, she’s a bit insecure about her teeth.
“I was self-conscious about my smile because of one tooth but having a crooked tooth gives me character and a reason to always excuse myself to floss,” she said.
D’Andra Simmons
“I feel most beautiful when I am with my husband,” D’Andra Simmons said. “He thinks I am beautiful all the time!”
“Being make-up free means being comfortable in my own skin, and having a clean face that is glowing,” she continued. “I developed Hard Night Good Morning skincare to help women be beautiful naturally, and have skin that they don’t have to hide under makeup.”
Because D’Andra is in the business of skin care, she is very aware of the health of her face and visits her dermatologist regularly for mini-fraxel laser treatments, oxygen facials, and skin tightening. As for her body, D’Andra admitted to being self-conscious about the way she looks.
“I have learned to play up my best physical features and dress to enhance them instead of wearing what is trendy, but may not look the best on me. I always dress for my figure,” she noted.
If given just one product, D’Andra said she’d select her anti-aging creation, L-22 Elixir by Hard Night Good Morning.
Cary Deuber
Although Cary Deuber has struggled with insecurities with her stomach, she recently decided to “let it go” and learn to love her entire body for what it’s given to her.
“Having a child is the best thing I’ve ever done and a little loose skin is not a big deal,” she reasoned.
As for when she feels the most beautiful, Cary said she’s at her best when she’s at the beach with a swimsuit, a cover-up, and tinted sunscreen.
Stephanie Hollman
“I feel most beautiful when I’m with my kids because they tell me I look like a princess…and kids don’t lie,” Stephanie Hollman revealed to People.
“There is something about being makeup free that gives me the sense of freedom and authenticity,” she explained. “There is nothing hiding me from the world. My skin is at its best when I eat healthy, work out and stay hydrated. Even though these are my daily goals, at times I slip and refocus. As I grow older I’m experiencing the importance of self-care. I do all that I can to slow down the aging process.
While Stephanie enjoys being makeup free, she also enjoys playing up her eyes when she goes out.
“My mom always emphasized making eye contact when talking to others as a sign of respect so when I was learning how to do my makeup, the first thing I wanted to perfect was my eyes because if someone was going to look me in the eye, I want them to look good,” she said.
Kameron Westcott
As she gets older, Kameron Westcott has made a point to keep her skin protected with sunscreen, namely Jane Iredale’s Tinted Sunscreen.
“I have found myself using more products with sunscreen. It is so incredibly important to make sure you are fully protected from the sun at all times,” she said.
The Real Housewives of Dallas cast is in the midst of production on the show’s upcoming third season.
