RHOC Kelly Dodd and Vicki Gunvalson Update

Kelly Dodd‘s friendship with Vicki Gunvalson may be over for good.

During a new interview, the Real Housewives of Orange County cast member confirmed she is no longer in contact with her co-star following a falling out earlier this year.

“We don’t talk at all,” Kelly admitted to Entertainment Tonight on October 15.

According to Kelly, she and Vicki were getting along during some of the currently airing 13th season of the show but eventually, things between them grew sour and they’ve been keeping their distance ever since. Most recently, Kelly learned Vicki refused to go to party because she was invited.

“I went to [Tamra Judge]’s house for her birthday in September, and Tamra showed me the text [from Vicki], she’s like, ‘I’m not gonna be there if Kelly’s there,’” Kelly said.

And that was just the tip of the iceberg.

As fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County well know, Kelly was none to happy with Vicki after learning she and boyfriend Steve Lodge had gone on a double date with a woman Vicki allegedly set up with her ex-husband, Michael Dodd.

“They completely lied to me,” Kelly claimed.

“When it resurfaced again about, you know, the Steve thing, she was like, ‘He didn’t, like, talk bad about you, and blah, blah, blah…,’” Kelly recalled. “The problem with the show is, it’s kinda hard to move forward because you go back into that time that you felt and then you say things to each other via text and you’re like, oh my god. You get mad again. I’m not mad at her, but she’s clearly mad.”

As for their future, Kelly said she would love to forgive Vicki and be cordial.

“I’ve done a lot of fun things with her, and she’s really, really a fun person to hang out with,” Kelly explained. “But you know, she’s all about her men. I’m not like that. I have a lot of girlfriends. I’m not just always stuck with, like, you know, having to have a man. Just, like, my mere focus is [not] having a boyfriend. It’s not.”

In July, as news of Vicki’s double dates with Michael hit the web, Vicki attempted to defend her choices.

“I got myself into a situation I didn’t know how to get out of,” she said. “Steve and Michael Dodd became very good friends, and Michael Dodd reached out to Steve and said, you know, ‘I’d like to meet Terri, one of Vicki’s friends,’ and we introduced them together. Steve was the ‘mastermind’ behind it, but Michael wanted to meet one of my friends and they were fully divorced, and Kelly was dating other people, and Kelly didn’t think it was appropriate that we went on a double date with them.”

During a separate interview, Kelly spoke of her friendship with Shannon Beador, who she was accused of “babying” throughout the 13th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County.

“[I] can’t help but feel sorry for Shannon,” Kelly explained.

However, when it comes to her coddling, Kelly doesn’t let it get out of control because she knows Shannon is unknowingly self absorbed.

“I feel like we baby her to a point, and then we know that we’re starting to enable her,” she said during an interview with TooFab. “There’s a threshold. We baby her because we feel sorry for her because you can’t help but feel sorry for Shannon. I mean, she’s really sensitive and soft and sweet and she has all these great qualities, but we also know it’s kind of self-absorbed — that she’s all about herself — but she doesn’t mean to be.”

“It’s not malicious. She’s just so wrapped up in her head that she doesn’t see what she does,” Kelly added.

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Monday nights at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
