The Teen Mom OG cast recently reunited in New York City for what was believed to be an emotional season eight reunion.
And according to a new report, Gary Shirley, who shares 10-year-old daughter Leah with ex-girlfriend Amber Portwood, finally reconnected with his birth father after searching for him for the past couple of seasons of the show.
“His biological father was at the reunion,” a source revealed to Us Weekly.
“Gary and his dad look like twins. It’s clear they are related,” the insider continued, revealing the name of Gary’s dad is Michael Jackson. “The dad also has a few other kids and Gary went to high school with one of them, who is named Michael Jackson, too. Gary didn’t know it was his brother when they were at school together.”
Also during the Teen Mom OG reunion taping, Amber Portwood was forced to address her recent tweets about quitting the show and blaming the network for the “bad mom” allegations she’s often faced with online as host Dr. Drew Pinsky begged her to stay.
The audience at the taping was extremely supportive of Amber which reportedly brought her to tears.
“She was really emotional,” a second source explained. “She was weighing [her options].”
Although Amber appeared to be deeply moved by her audience’s support, she seemed to have her mind made up about leaving the MTV reality series on November 5, when she went on a rant about what the series has put her through over the years.
“I can’t do this anymore. I have to quit this show,” she wrote. “The heartache this show has put me through is too much to bear anymore. If I will not be shown then there’s nothing more to do. My name will not get smeared anymore.”
“I hope everyone is resting easy with the money they’ve made off of heartache and pain that I’ve endured,” she added.
MTV has yet to announce when the Teen Mom OG season 8 reunion will air on their network.
Teen Mom OG airs Monday nights at 9/8c.
