Did Flipping Out's Jeff Lewis Fire Gage Edward From His Design Company

Jeff Lewis and Gage Edward called it quits last month after over a decade together but have they also parted ways professionally?

During a recent episode of the Flipping Out star’s radio show, Jeff Lewis Live, Jeff opened up about the way in which Jeff Lewis Design has moved forward after the split.

“[Gage] goes to our houses and he manages the sites,” Jeff said, according to a report shared by The Daily Dish.

“We’ve been very civil. It’s been civil,” he shared. “I want to be happy, and I want him to be happy.”

While Jeff and Gage have been able to successfully maintain a civil working relationship, things between them have been up and down since their breakup. Although Jeff previously said he and Gage were on good terms after their breakup, he accused his ex of making “a big f**king misstep” by going out on a date with another man, who he knew, earlier this month.

A short time later, things appeared to be back on good terms when Jeff revealed he and Gage were planning to go on a “platonic” dinner date with one another. At the time, he said the then-upcoming meeting showed good “progress” between them but after the date, he revealed he had stormed out on Gage after feeling he was “lecturing” him.

One day after their dinner date, Jeff revealed what he told Gage on the phone.

“I just want you to know I have heard everything you’ve had to say to me in the last couple of weeks, and I take 100 percent responsibility for what has gone wrong in this relationship, and I truly feel like I have failed you, I have failed my child, and I have failed my family,” he shared.

During another broadcast of his Sirius XM show, Jeff dropped a bombshell when he revealed he had actually first broken up with Gage two years ago.

“I actually ended the relationship on Valentine’s Day 2017,” said Jeff, according to PEOPLE. “Our baby was three and a half months old but we were both miserable. I told him I did not want to be with him anymore. I broke up with him on that date.”

“Ever since then every action and every decision was basically to push him away,” he added. “I needed him to leave me versus me to leave him.”

When he first confirmed news of their split, Jeff admitted he could have done more to fight for their relationship.

“I didn’t help matters any at all,” he said. “I didn’t fight for the relationship. I didn’t work on the relationship.”

Jeff, who shares one child, two-year-old daughter Monroe, with Gage, also added that he has plans to have another kid, with or without his former partner.

“Within the next year, with or without Gage, I’m going to pursue having another child,” revealed Jeff. “I think Monroe needs another sibling.”

“I do want to have another child for Monroe. Not just for Monroe, but for me,” he continued. “Because I always thought that I would never, ever do it if I didn’t have a partner. But I think I can. I just need to hire a few more nannies.”
