RHOBH Star Erika Jayne's Husband Files Documents to Keep His $15 Million Lawsuit Private

Erika Jayne‘s husband, attorney Thomas Girardi, doesn’t want the details of the $15 million lawsuit pending against him made public.

According to a new report, Thomas recently filed new court documents, requesting the lawsuit be kept private and accusing the lender of his massive loan of failing to abide by an agreement they made with one another.

On March 5, The Blast shared details of Thomas’ documents and explained that the attorney wants his case heard in private arbitration, which means that only those involved with the case will be kept in the loop in regard to the details.

In January, news first broke of the $15 million lawsuit against Thomas and his firm, Girardi Keese, who are accused of taking out a $15 million loan in 2015 from Law Finance Group to sustain Thomas’ luxurious lifestyle and keep the firm “financially afloat.” However, in a statement to The Blast, Thomas denied the claims and labeled them “slanderous.”

“The truth of the matter is this. I have not taken one penny from the law firm in the past three years,” he said in the statement. “I have devoted everything to assist in the cases that we have here. Further, the money that was borrowed, we agreed to repay in approximately two weeks before the lawsuit. It is slanderous that the money was for my ‘lifestyle’ … every penny went for costs in cases that the firm is handling.”

According to Thomas, the agreement he made with the loan holder specified the court in which any future arguments should be heard but the lender did not follow the agreement and is now refusing to move their case to the proper court.

Erika addressed the pending lawsuit against her husband during an interview with Us Weekly last month.

“Listen, we’re in the lawsuit business, baby. We sue and get sued,” she explained. “So what? So what? It’s part of the job.”

Law Finance Group is suing Thomas for the full loan amount of $15,151,989 and other damages.
