VIDEO: Southern Charm's Shep Rose Slammed by Fans After Mocking a Homeless Woman on the Street for Collecting Cans, Will He Be Fired?

Shep Rose is under fire after sharing a video of himself mocking a woman on a New York City street for collecting cans.

On Twitter, after seeing what the Southern Charm star had done, a number of fans slammed Shep. Some even tweeted to Bravo TV, requesting he be fired from the show for his “disgusting” and embarrassing behavior.

“Is this Southern Charm? I can understand being drunk & feeling regret but [Shep Rose] feels none this morning. Cheap way to get ‘laughs’ from followers but there is nothing funny about homelessness. I’m DONE w/ him,” one person wrote.

In the video, Shep, 39, was heard telling the woman “look at me” as she yelled “no” and attempted to block her face. Meanwhile, in Shep’s caption, he suggested that the woman was actually amused by his antics.

After facing backlash, Shep made it clear that he was not sorry for his behavior as his online fans and followers called for Bravo TV and Andy Cohen to boot him from the network.

“Omg. I offended you! Ok. Here’s the plan, sensitivity training 5 times a week. Then intensive therapy (hot yoga?) followed by a public flogging in the town square. Then I move to Siberia and live in an igloo for 4 months,” Shep suggested to one woman.

“At this point. I think I’ll be cleansed of your disapproval,” he added.

Another one of Shep’s followers tweeted to the reality star, saying they were “really, REALLY disappointed” in the video he shared of himself harassing the homeless woman, who “clearly did not want to be filmed.”

“Unfollow then. No big deal,” Shep replied.

“I’m honestly asking: What about that struck you as funny?” the fan then asked.

“Doesn’t matter. You follow me. You can easily get out of the situation,” he noted. “It’s not a binding contract. I am not responsible for your happiness. If i miss the mark in your mind just keep scrolling.”

“[Bravo TV] and [Andy Cohen] what are you gonna do about that disgusting video your employee [Shep Rose] posted of him drunkenly harassing a woman on the street?” asked another Twitter user. “What an embarrassment for the [Bravo TV] network. Is this [really] the [kind of] behavior you wanna promote? Get him off TV.”

Despite the many fans calling for Shep’s firing, Shep never offered an apology. Instead, he joked about the many people who were attempting to “send [him] to the [principal’s] office.” He also pointed out that his many haters were all following him on Twitter.

UPDATE: Shep has issued an apology on Twitter amid the backlash.

“I know some people were upset about the video from Sunday night. It was a stupid joke and bad idea all around. Also a bit out of context. I spent a few minutes with her talking and telling jokes. She laughed a little. But Yeah, wasn’t cool or funny. Mea culpa,” wrote Shep on August 6.
