RHOD Star Brandi Redmond Addresses Backlash From Fans Over Daughter Brooklyn, Read the Housewife's Emotional Instagram Response

The Real Housewives of Dallas star Brandi Redmond is addressing the hurtful criticism fans have been giving her regarding her soon-to-be-tween daughter’s behavior on the show. See her heartfelt response that she posted on Instagram Thursday.

Being on a reality show means baring it all — even if it’s the nitty-gritty of parenting. Fans got a glimpse into Brandi’s family life in Wednesday’s episode as the reality star attempted to deal with her daughter Brooklyn‘s increasingly sassy attitude.

These candid moments on the show have led fans to lash out at Brandi on social media. Some Twitter users went so far as to call the Bravo star’s 10-year-old daughter “manipulative” and “disrespectful.”

One RHOD fan wrote, “Brandi’s daughter is going to be a verbally abusive brat when she grows up and it’s sad that Brandi is just trying to downplay.”

“[Brandi] named her daughter Brooklyn and taught her zero manners. Lazy parenting 101,” another fan tweeted about the reality star.

But are these harsh criticisms hitting below the belt? Brandi sure thinks so. In response to the haters, the mother of three took to Instagram to express her deep hurt caused by the nasty comments.

“I have to share what I’m feeling to get this off my chest….This is my baby girl. She is kind, loving, sweet and one of the smartest kids I’ve ever known,” Brandi wrote next to a picture of Brooklyn sleeping alongside her baby brother. “As I’m writing this I’m in tears. You can say anything you want to about me but not children. Who knew so many people could be so hurtful and judgmental. I don’t always get the parenting thing right and children are not always perfect but my love for my children is undeniable. Those who truly know my family know Brooklyn. She’s a blessing.”

Brandi ended her post by thanking fans for watching the show and sending love to “those who can relate.” But she had one final message for the people who continue to judge her.

“Those who’ve got this all figured out, where is your NY Times Best Seller? #🤐#redmondpartyof5 . #rhod,” the Bravo star wrote.

I have to share what I’m feeling to get this off my chest….This is my baby girl. She is kind, loving, sweet and one of the smartest kids I’ve ever known. She is the first in our family that wants to bring everyone together. She’s the best big sister to Bruin & Brinkley. As I’m writing this I’m in tears. You can say anything you want to about me but not children. Who knew so many people could be so hurtful and judgmental. I don’t always get the parenting thing right and children are not always perfect but my love for my children is undeniable. Those who truly know my family know Brooklyn. She’s a blessing. Thank you for watching and to those of you who can relate, sending ❤️. Those who’ve got this all figured out, where is your NY Times Best Seller? #🤐#redmondpartyof5 . #rhod

After posting her touching message, Brandi received some supportive words from some of her Dallas costars, including LeeAnne Locken, who told her to “ignore the haters” in the comments.

Even Real Housewives of Orange County newbie Braunwyn Windham-Burke took time to respond to the post, writing, “The more kids I have the more I realized I have no idea what I’m found🤷‍♀️ What works for one won’t work for another, I also know that having a camera crew is like when you’re on the phone times 100!”
