RHOD Star D'Andra Simmons Claps Back After Being Called a "Fat Cow" by LeAnne Locken, See Her Fiery Post Plus LeeAnne Speaks Out

The Real Housewives of Dallas star D’Andra Simmons is speaking out after costar LeeAnne Locken referred to her as “the great and almighty fat cow” in this week’s episode.

D’Andra may not have been officially invited to her frenemy’s fabulous, drag queen-filled bachelorette party, but her name was on many of the housewives’ lips–namely, LeeAnne’s. During the over-the-top celebration, newbie housewife Kary Brittingham asked the bride-to-be why D’Andra wasn’t there since their friendship was seemingly on the mend. LeeAnne was so irritated by this that she proceeded to refer to her former enemy as “the great and almighty fat cow” to some of her other guests.

As one would imagine, D’Andra cringed along with all of us during this part of Wednesday’s episode and decided to take to Instagram to clap back at her on-again, off-again friend. And she started things off with a rather telling quote.

“Is ‘fat’ really the worst thing a human being can be? Is ‘fat’ worse than ‘vindictive’, ‘jealous’, ‘shallow’, ‘vain’, ‘boring’ or ‘cruel’ Not to me. – J.K. Rowling” D’Andra wrote.

“In the last decade courageous public figures have outed body shaming. It is shameful, hateful and discriminatory…the basest form of bullying.” the reality star continued. “Making statements about a person’s weight says nothing about the person these comments are being directed toward, and everything about a person that is spewing this hurtful and disgusting narrative.”

The business owner went on to openly admit that she was no stranger to weight management issues. As fans already know, D’Andra recently revealed that she underwent a facelift and packed on 25 pounds.

“CHARACTER…plain and simple without pretense…that is what defines another human being…not their weight nor their size. I’ve openly shared my struggles with my body weight and image both privately and publicly.” the Bravo star explained in the post. “I’ve learned that you must love yourself and embrace your body for what it is all while doing your best to be healthy and whole.”

The Bravo star then sent out a hopeful message to all RHOD fans, encouraging them to look past size and be grateful for other things in life.

Making statements about a person’s weight says nothing about the person these comments are being directed toward, and everything about a person that is spewing this hurtful and disgusting narrative. I’ve learned that you must love yourself and embrace your body for what it is all while doing your best to be healthy and whole. I hope tonight’s episode will help to renew a commitment to ourselves and others to support each other instead of scrutinize each other, to love each other instead of judge each other. If appearance is the only thing that defines you and others in your world, then you have a lot more to learn about life than I can write in a simple post. I hope everyone takes the time to make steps to self-improvement and towards kindness and compassion. This is way more important than what size dress you or I am wearing. I’m learning to love my body each and everyday and be thankful for all of the blessings in my life! While LeeAnne has yet to comment on the lengthy post, she did reveal she has apologized to D’Andra.

“I was terribly wrong and I have called Dandra and apologized. I was out line and I am disappointed in myself,” tweeted LeeAnne on October 17 after the episode aired.

Kary, however, did respond to D’Andra’s post, sharing a heartfelt response in the comment section.

“You are perfect just the way you are ❤️ but I miss vacation D’Andra when are we going out ☺️??” the Bravo star playfully wrote in the comments.
