Less than one week after production on his talk show, Watch What Happens Live, was suspended, Andy took to his Instagram page to confirm his diagnosis and reveal that he will no longer be filming his series from his home, as he previously planning, as a number of his celebrity friends and several Bravolebrities sent their well-wishes.
“After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus,” Andy shared on Friday, March 20, “As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do [Watch What Happens Live] from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better. I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves.”
Following his post, Andy was flooded with comments.
“Rest up. Love you with all my heart,” wrote singer John Mayer.
“We love you Andy,” Stassi Schroeder said. “Sending prayers your way.”
Today host Savannah Guthrie and Live! with Kelly and Ryan’s Kelly Ripa told Andy they loved him as actress Busy Philipps sent him “love and healing” and encouraged him to get better “quickly.”
“Andy we love you xoxoxoxo,” wrote Today‘s Hoda Kotb.
“We love you,” added Bravo’s official Instagram account. “Sending positive thoughts & well wishes your way!”
Andy’s confirmation of his COVID-19 diagnosis came just three short hours after he announced the launch of WWHL at home.
“WWHL @ HOME Starts Sunday night at 10 on Bravo featuring Jerry O’Connell, Nene Leakes, & Ramona Singer! Monday I’ve got JOHN MAYER! This is gonna be even lower-tech than WWHL, but as much of a party!” he shared.
Get well soon, Andy!
