Shannon Beador dishes on the “explosive” reunion and the current status of her relationship with John Janssen.
Although some have criticized season 15 of The Real Housewives of Orange County and called it a lackluster season, the reunion will apparently be anything but lackluster. The ladies did have to film in the midst of a global pandemic and production did have to shut down for a time, which ultimately led to a shorter season than normal. Nevertheless, Shannon says the upcoming season finale will “connect all the dots,” and fans can expect a reunion with enough drama to spare.
“I think when we kind of stopped filming for COVID, everyone had a bunch of issues that they wanted to get out, so [the finale is] kind of a time for everybody to get out what they were upset about, concerned about, etcetera,” Shannon revealed in an Instagram Live interview with Hollywood Life. “So, it’s really good, it kind of wraps a bow on everything, but then you get to the reunion where it’s just WOW!”
It has been weeks since the RHOC reunion was filmed on December 18, 2020, and Shannon claims her voice is still hoarse from all of the yelling.
“I don’t know if you can detect the hoarseness in my voice, but that is because I lost it at the reunion,” she shared. “There was so much drama and yelling that I had to elevate my voice so that I was heard. So, that’s a big one too, the reunion, it’s good.”
As for who Shannon went head-to-head with, she apparently didn’t want any of her fellow castmates to feel left out.
“Most of them,” she quipped. “If there’s something that upset me, I’m going to address it. It doesn’t mean that I can’t get past it. It just depends on the severity of what’s happened, so I’m going to bring stuff up, I’m not afraid.”
The mother-of-three added, “I’m very emotional, yes I am! So, we can just bring that out now. I’ll admit it, but at the same time, I’m never afraid. If you go back on the history of the show, I have gone against every single cast member. [I’m] not afraid,” she claimed.
While Shannon says that fans have an “explosive” reunion to look forward to, it’s very likely some of the drama will involve her relationship with John, as a few of the ladies were seen discussing on a recent episode. When asked about the current status of their relationship, Shannon says they’re “good” and goes on to explain that the issues she and John were having are normal.
“I was in a very tumultuous marriage and I did date for a couple of years, so when I met John, I felt like I was ‘Pretty Woman’ living in the fairytale,” the Real for Real creator explained. “And that wasn’t realistic because I guarantee there’s not one couple, whether they’re married or not, that spent quarantine together 24/7 that didn’t bicker or have arguments from time to time, so I talk about it. It happened. If I’m on a reality show then I’m going to talk about things in my life and we love each other and that’s all you can ask for.”
She was then asked if she has any plans to walk down the aisle again one day.
“I do want to be married, I do want to grow old with someone, and I want to be part of a partnership,” she shared. “I do, but it’s not like I’m gonna have kids or anything so there’s no rush. [We] need to make sure that it’s right.”
As for whether Shannon has any plans to marry John specifically, she says, “It’s not on the books right now.”
The season finale of The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Wednesday night on Bravo at 9/8c.
