Mary Cosby and her son, Robert Cosby Jr., are facing criminal charges in Utah.

As fans await the highly-anticipated trailer for The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season two, the 48-year-old is being accused of unlawfully providing shelter to a runaway and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

In court documents shared by a RHOSLC fan page, it is noted that both Mary and Robert Jr. are facing misdemeanors.

Meanwhile, in a series of posts shared by Boredom by Bravo on their Instagram Story, the charges were further explained.

In the first Story, it was revealed, in part, that unlawfully providing shelter to a runaway happens when someone harbors a child without the consent of the minor’s parent and while knowing that the parent has not given consent for the child to be away from home.

There are also a number of other scenarios in which law enforcement may be involved.

In their second Story post, the page offered a screenshot of an explanation for the “contributing to the delinquency of a minor” charge.

“The Utah Criminal Code considers it a criminal act for someone to knowingly encourage a child to commit an act that would be a criminal offense for an adult under state or federal law or local ordinance. It is not necessary for the child to actually be found delinquent. Contributing to the delinquency of a minor in Utah is a Class B misdemeanor,” the message read.

According to the document shared by the RHOSLC fan page, the incident involving Mary and her son appears to have taken place on April 8 of this year.

A rep for the Bravo star also issued a statement to E! News. “Mary is saddened that she was dragged into another family’s domestic situation,” the rep stated on August 5, “but is confident that this misunderstanding will be cleared up soon.”

Mary and Robert Jr. are due in court on August 12 at 10 a.m.

News of Mary’s legal drama comes just months after her RHOSLC co-star, Jen Shah, 47, was arrested on charges of money laundering and fraud after reportedly operating a years-long telemarketing scheme.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season two is expected to premiere later this year on Bravo.
