Fans are having a hard time recognizing Kathryn Dennis in new photos as many question where the “old Kathryn” went after losing custody of her kids.
While many fans gushed over the Southern Charm star’s look when she posted a stunning photo of herself via Instagram, others took notice of the alleged changes she’s made recently.
Last week, Kathryn was donning blonde locks when she shared a selfie with the caption, “Take my kindness for weakness still coming out strong.”
Though several fans were quick to point out her blonde hair, others wondered if she’s gone under the knife.
“Where is your pretty red hair?” one person asked. “You look nothing like your younger self.”
A second confused fan commented, “I had no idea who this was at first,” to which another replied, “I was thinking the same! Beauty but who dis?”
A fourth person wrote, “You’re beautiful but calm down on your face you’re becoming unrecognizable.”
Kathryn appeared unbothered by the fans’ response to her selfie as she modeled a little black dress in another pic soon after.
“Pop that sh*t,” she captioned the photo, adding an “In 2 deep” hashtag.
But just like before, fans immediately began to speculate that she’s had “plastic surgery.”
“Beautiful but I like the old Kathryn look much better,” one fan declared.
A second fan demanded, “Stop with the plastic surgery.”
“You don’t even look like Kathryn anymore,” commented a third.
Nevertheless, one person came to the reality star’s defense, writing, “To the ladies commenting on any surgical augmentations this woman may or may not have had: Who raised you? Negatively commenting on another females appearance is BIG thin lipped and thick necked energy. Do better.”
As fans may have heard, Kathryn’s been having a tough time since losing custody of her two children, Kensie, 7, and Saint, 4, to ex Thomas Ravenel earlier this year.
In fact, Kathryn, who’s currently only allowed supervised visits with the youngsters every other weekend, opened up about her struggles a few weeks back.
“There will be a lot more difficult times than good times when you are without your kids,” she wrote in a since-deleted post per The Sun. “It’s normal. It’s normal if it’s only difficult at first, it’s going to be that way, it’s going to be hard… you gotta accept that’s just the way it is and pivot. Just like everything in parenting, I like to visualize a tunnel and the light at the end being my children. Focus on the light even if it seems dim at first. Kids are resilient and the bigger picture is not as bad as the smaller picture feels.”
Kathryn also explained that she’s been trying to find little projects to work on in order to preoccupy herself and pass the time while her kids are with Thomas.
“I started doing little projects like setting up Kensie’s dolls for her and telling them they had been playing while she was gone, moving the Pokémon action figures and saying they were battling while they were gone!” she wrote. “I also [get] through with a lot of DIY projects or prep for them and doing their Lego sets LOL just some food for thought that I thought I could add.”
