Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kathryn Edwards shares her thoughts on Erika Jayne‘s spending habits.
Amid allegations that Erika helped her estranged husband, Thomas Girardi, steal millions of dollars from his former clients, her former co-star is speaking out and revealing what she witnessed during one of their cast trips.
Kathryn, who starred alongside Erika in the show’s sixth season, actually shared a room with the “Pretty Mess” singer during their cast trip to Dubai. And according to Kathryn, she was absolutely floored by the lavish lifestyle Erika was living.
“I think it was just, I remember walking into her room,” she recalled on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast per Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “I remember walking into, we shared a suite in Dubai. It was a two-bedroom suite and the suite was, I think, I don’t know, 5,000-square-feet. We had, you know, a butler and a cook and the whole thing.”
“And she had her two glam guys and then the stylist guy,” she continued. “And these big trunks came. Then they were putting all of her stuff out and getting it all ready. I remember like I had my little, I had like two little Tumi bags. And I put myself … I had no hair, no makeup, no stylist. I was just, I don’t know I was doing the show.”
Kathryn said the sheer amount of expensive items removed from the trunks was almost overwhelming, explaining it didn’t make sense to her why the reality star would need so much stuff for such a short trip.
“And it was so funny ’cause they laid out all the jewelry and the shoes and the makeup. I mean, it was like a full freaking production,” she said. “It was crazy. And I remember just looking at it all. All of the clothes, the shoes, and the sunglasses and how much that was there. And thinking how much is she even going to wear in the four days that we were there?”
Kathryn was also taken aback by how much money Erika spent on her glam squad as she flew them to Dubai via business class and paid for everything without even batting an eye.
“[We’re sitting] at the table in the suite and you know, everyone would be ordering and she would just sign for everything because, you know, they were such a big part of whatever it was,” she recalled. “And I remember just thinking like, holy sh*t, this girl spends money like it’s, you know, coming out of the tap and you know, I didn’t know.”
If fans recall from the trip, Erika also spoiled herself and even considered purchasing a $700,000 bracelet. However, she ended up settling on an exclusive Chanel purse instead.
Though Kathryn says she doesn’t believe Erika “knew everything” when it comes to Thomas’ alleged crimes, she claims the RHOBH star is certainly “no dummy.”
