Meredith Marks addressed rumors of plastic surgery on Twitter on Tuesday after making an appearance on Watch What Happens Live days prior.
After Bravo viewers began to wonder what, if anything, she had done and raised questions about the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star’s potentially new look, Meredith defended herself against critics, suggesting that she was simply “swollen” that day.
“As I am being asked about my swollen face on [WWHL], yes my face was swollen that day. No it was not a cosmetic procedure,” Meredith tweeted on February 1. “You can see on my insta story pic taken the next day where the swelling is down. I am human. Not every day is perfect. Sorry.”
Although Meredith’s tweet has since been deleted, screenshots of her post remain on social media. And after one screenshot was shared by Bravo Snark Side, a number of fans weighed in on her look in the comments section of the post, some of which accused her of “liesssssss” and others that compared her to fellow reality star Caitlyn Jenner.
“Not just swelling she couldn’t even open one of her eyes!!!” one person stated.
“I feel like every time I see her she looks different,” another noted.
“She’s so full of it!!! She clearly had something done,” said a third, also asking, “What’s the big deal these days?”
“I mean just admit it!” someone else agreed.
As several others suspected Meredith was “definitely lying” and said she looks “like Caitlyn Jenner now,” a few fans of the RHOSLC cast member defended her against her haters, saying that people swell up from time to time.
“Yeah people get swollen all the time .. especially under stress, flying and all that,” one shared.
“Maybe she had a lot of wine the night before. Happens to the best of us,” another person noted.
“Meredith Marks is gorgeous honey,” someone else declared.
Meredith’s look was also compared to Shannon Beador‘s season 15 reunion look on The Real Housewives of Orange County, which she explained occurred after she made a last-minute decision to use a different kind of filler than normal.
“I was running out of time so I said, ‘Go ahead and do it,’ without doing the research and without thinking it through, which I usually do. It’s been a hard month,” she shared. ” I’m having a difficult time looking in the mirror because I don’t recognize myself.”
