In a sneak peek of the upcoming season two reunion, the ladies of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City get real and hash out their feelings toward Mary Cosby as Andy Cohen explains why she was a no-show to the reunion.
Andy begins the reunion by saying that it was “apparent” Mary would not be joining the rest of the cast on the couch, including Meredith Marks, Lisa Barlow, Jen Shah, Whitney Rose, Heather Gay, and Jennie Nguyen.
Whitney asks Andy, “Why didn’t she come?”
“I spoke to her the other day, and she was pretty upset about everyone speaking behind her back and about her church,” he says. “I encouraged her to come and defend her church.”
He then spoke directly to Whitney, saying Mary was upset that she called her a “predator.”
Can’t take a dose of your own medicine, Mary? She repeatedly name-called plenty of her castmates, calling Heather “inbred” and Jen Shah “a Mexican thug”
“I wish she was here,” Whitney responds. “Because I’ve tried to have conversations with her throughout the season and she would not afford me the respect of a conversation. And now we still don’t get to talk about it.”
In a surprising turn of events, Heather speaks highly of Mary, much to the chagrin of Lisa and Jennie.
“Mary said so many insightful things in confessionals and I gained respect for watching the episodes,” Heather says.
A flabbergasted Lisa blasts Heather’s comment, saying, “I don’t think that’s an accurate read, though.”
Jennie also jumps in, saying, “But she called Whitney a whore!”
Jen and Heather both look equally shocked as if they didn’t know Mary had made the comments.
‘She called you a whore?” Heather asks.
Whitney nods and shrugs off the insult.
“The thing about Mary, I understand what Heather’s saying. She does have moments of great wisdom and insight,” Whitney says.
Lisa is quick to chime in to make sure and clarify, “Moments.”
Whitney continues, saying she’s “just not showing up.” Heather states that she feels Mary should be there, especially after being a “ride or die” for Meredith.
“Mary’s not here for [Meredith] and that makes me mad,” Heather said.
Meredith responds, “I have mixed feelings about it because I’m not sure the show’s healthy for Mary. But you know, I like having her support.”
Andy says Mary’s absence is “disappointing, to say the least.”
Part one of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion is set to premiere on February 27 on Bravo.
