REPORT: RHONJ Producers Edited Scenes From Jennifer Aydin’s Talk With Daughter Gabby About Bill’s Affair to Protect Margaret Josephs from “Backlash”

On the first episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey season 12, Margaret Josephs threw a bomb on Jennifer Aydin and exposed her husband Bill’s affair. Jennifer was visibly shaken, but hardly anyone had her back (except an old enemy, Jackie Goldschneider).

In the latest episode, Jennifer is forced to talk to her daughter Gabby about her dad’s affair.

According to producers who spoke to AllAboutTRH, the show cut out a major component of the scene — the actual emotional effect it had on the young girl.

The sources explained, “It was extremely emotional for us to film that scene as Gabby was visibly upset and had tears streaming down her face. She was very hurt but we couldn’t highlight her pain as much to avoid backlash on how things would look for Margaret and how the audience would react to this young girl in so much pain.”

In a later episode, Margaret expressed that Jennifer’s children would “get over it” because kids are “resilient.”

When the affair occurred 10 years ago, Jennifer chose to forgive Bill, and she never talked about it again.

Apparently, the producers are more concerned about how Margaret looks than the emotional impact on the children. Now, thanks to the editing, the world can sleep soundly, knowing Margaret Josephs’ reputation is safe.
