On Instagram Live, Kelly Dodd shared that Dorinda Medley and Phaedra Parks were asked to return to Bravo. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum allegedly received the information from Dorinda herself, who was shading Vicki Gunvalson for not getting an offer.
Vicki and Dorinda became nemeses, of course, after their dramatic showdown on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. News of Dorinda’s potential return on Real Housewives of New York created a stir in the fan base because her casting wasn’t yet confirmed – though the rumors were circulating.
On The Rick & Kelly Show, Kelly revealed the details behind her leak.
“I had Vicki on my Instagram Live… [and] somebody asked me about Dorinda, and she said Dorinda was mean, blah blah blah,” said Kelly. “And then I get a text message from Dorinda… I thought that Dorinda wanted me to [share it as] commentary to [Vicki].”
Her husband Rick Leventhal added, “You thought [Dorinda] was weighing in because you were on Instagram Live. Vicki was on Instagram Live with you… You were dealing with questions from the audience. And then [Dorinda] was texting you information, so you thought she was sharing that information with your Instagram Live viewers.”
“Exactly,” answered Kelly. “So I get [another] text message that Dorinda’s like, ‘Why would you share personal information on there?’ Listen, I never ever, ever divulge if someone tells me not to say anything. I don’t, ok? I don’t. I keep it in the vault… If you’re my friend and you tell me not to say anything, I don’t.”
The star continued, “I apologized to Dorinda Medley because I honestly, at the time, I thought she was weighing in on the text message when I was doing Instagram Live talking to Vicki. So if I hurt your feelings, Dorinda Medley, I’m sorry. I would never ever betray you.”
Is their friendship still intact? Fans can accuse Dorinda of many things, but a lack of memory has never been on the list. If the RHONY alum was truly offended by the leak, she’ll likely remember it for the next 13 seasons – whether or not she returns to the Bravo airwaves.
